Referral Help??

I had a friend of mine sign up, and he's showing under my referrals when I click on the account screen (with a green check mark), but I have not been paid a referral bonus yet.  Anyone know how long that normally takes?

As long as it takes him to verify his e-mail.

Nope, the green check mark just means that they signed up through your link.  They need to confirm their account in order to receive the $1 referral bonus.

since we are on this subject I'm not entire knowing how to get referals... I know I can't do this through myspace... could I email the link to them and they just copy and paste it in the url bar? Is that one possible way?

I havent had any luck getting referrals. I was curious about what everyone's best practice was for getting referrals?
