Go sit on your book of fairytales and wait for your imaginary friend to show up.
I won't bother reading any of the comments from any of you since it always ends in some religious  psychobabble .

Lol, yes and WE (the believers who have held our own in serious and intelligent debates) are the mindless ones! Priceless. This what I heard:

Go sit on your book of fairytales and wait for your imaginary friend to show up
"I have no intelligent statement to make regarding your post so I will insult you."

I won't bother reading any of the comments from any of you since it always ends in some religious  psychobabble
"I cannot intelligently debate the issues brought up so I will ignore you and call everything you say psychobabble, in the hopes that it will make me look superior."

FUNNY!  ;D

It couldn't have been said any better.

I have no problem with "Christians" or any other group of people with the sole exception of people who think they are in anyway superior then anyone else, that goes for anyone regardless of their beliefs or lack there of.

I have never been one to sugar coat any of my words and have more of a chance for someone mis-understand my stance. It is also very hard for me to show respect to someone which I have none for.

Everyone in here knows that I show respect towards respectable people.

I don't remember disrespecting you whenever you began insinuating I was a lesbian with Annella, mocking my name, and saying I pretend to be smarter than I am.
***sigh*** No Mack, I was not insinuating any kind of homosexual relationship. I was using the "humping her leg" metaphor in relation to what appeared to me of you fawning all over her and making posts simply to win her admiration. I thought you would recognize that.....you know, with your superior intelligence and all........

Funny how I never claimed superior intelligence haha, but allright. "sigh" I'm talking about how you said it should be against my religion to have the name Mack in my screen name. and that by having it i was a dyke, and that too was against my religion
Really now, Mack......let's examine what I reallysaid.....

What I find a bit ignorant is a female christion referring to them self with a masculine screen name, considering the pervasiveness of homophobic and patriarchal ideologies in your chosen form of spirituality."

Now where in this statement any where do I call you homosexual? Your term for a lesbian is very offensive BTW, you might consider trying on some of that respect you guys are always harping about.

So yeah, as you told another member here recently, feel free to think before you post, Mack.

Quote from walksalone:
People on here, ask you and others a question and request a simple yes or no. You can't do that, you have to start quoting bible verses and preaching a sermon. How hard is it to answer simple yes.......or no? Unless of course you are, as I very much suspect, attempting to distance yourself from any guilt associated with the answer, and instead want to lay all the blame at Creators feet.

Walksalone,  Sometimes answers cannot be given as a yes or no.  A few questions being asked of Christians lately, have been nothing but a "trap" and as a Christian, the Bible is one way we back our answers. We may feel a certain yes or no, but as a Christian, we also need to understand that our human answers are what we "feel" and our Lord has His own reasons for what He does and expect (example: hell) and for showing that what we "feel" is not necessarily what the absolute answer is.

Also, a couple of questions recently asked of Annella and of myself came directly from an atheist video of talk show with a couple of men that encourage these type questions, and so one poster on here was simply channeling her question and attitude right from the men with the same Yes/No only demand. That demand isn't going to "trap" a Christian into what the atheist "wants" to push the Christian to say, without the Christian backing it up scripturally.

So, in a nut shell what you are saying is that even if you personally do not agree with it, you will justify it and go along simply because it is what the bible says?

I would say it is not an obsession with religion at all. Believe whatever you or anyone else choose to believe. It is a strong desire to stop the harm done to huge groups of people by religion. There is a big difference. That's my opinion on it anyway.
Exactly, JDog.

Somehow the term "prime" never comes to mind when considering anything about you. :dontknow:

I know high school kids taking college credits and by the time they finish high school they have completed an AA degree...so no, waiting until you are 19 to go to college is just average.

Haha I didn't wait until I was 19 to go to college hun.

I don't consider dyke a derogatory name for a lesbian, I consider it the term for a masculine woman in a relationship with another woman, so sorry if I offended anyone.
Furthermore, you never explained how I  have a masculine screen name, so feel free to think before you speak.

Wow. I agree 100% with Walks on the derogatory usage of that word. Hate to break it to you, mack, but just as you can't categorize heterosexual's couples elements neither can you do so with lesbian couples. Thinking there is always 1 masculine and 1 feminine is a stereotype in and of itself. My suggestion is that if you don't want to be offensive or disrespectful, don't use words that are meant to incite.

Using the word dyke to refer to a lesbian, if you are not one, is the same as using the word 'n****r' to refer to a black person when you are not black. You have no business doing it because you have no clue about living it. I know you mentioned in another thread that "you have lesbian/gay friends" - NOT an exact quote, but I think you know what I am referring to. I would say you might be an acquaintance of some gay people, but they are not friends, huge difference, at least in my opinion. My true 'friends' are those who know my entire life, my way of thinking, accept me for who I am, and people I know I can count on if I need them no matter what time it is or how busy they might be. I have many real friends who are gay. My best friend has been with her partner for 18 years and they just adopted a 2 year old little girl. I highly doubt these gay friends of your's fall into that category. I could very well be dead wrong on that, but I doubt that also. There are many males and females who declare themselves gay at a young age because it somehow makes them feel cool to say it and especially at your age and while at college. They in fact have NO idea what it is or the struggles true gays who are older have had to go through just to live in a relatively 'normal' way. Throw around the word dyke in a large city, a gay bar, etc., and you will quickly find out just how 'dyke' they can be - after they have face planted you on the floor.

Also, just because someone happens to fit a stereotype (which does happen, stereotypes are created for a reason) it does not justify calling them by a degrading name. I doubt when you see a black person eating chicken you think it's justifiable to use the stereotypical and degrading word that has been used in the past by ignorant generations. I have to wonder if you would have the audacity to refer to a more feminine homosexual male as a 'fairy' or a 'queen'?

It is amazing to me with so much knowledge and information at our finger tips, people still fail to explore any subject on their own and defend their actions or words without any substantive exploration.

edited to add: For the record, if a gay man wants to insult a lesbian, guess what he calls her? A 'dyke'.....

Even going as soon as you graduate is average...it is "normal" and typical behavior of people. You also act your age which is a sign of Normal development.

Well I apologized, but I guess as usual you all have to dwell on it anyway.
You have no right to tell me if I have gay/lesbian friends or not.
I NEVER said all gay relationships have one masculine and one feminine, so thanks for putting words in my mouth. I actually said where I'm from dyke is a word used to refer to the masculine member of a lesbian relationship, never said theres always one. If it is derrogatory by yalls terms I apologize, but I didn't mean it in that way. No amount of you griping at me will change any of that.
