WTH happened in here?

You are confused. To be agnostic means you believe in what is real and provable... "God" is not provable. The burden of proof does NOT rest on the nonbelievers  but on the believers . I for one and sick to death of people trying to push their   religion on me and on others. I don't take it from my family and I certainly will not take it from a stranger!

I find it puzzling that we as Christians are "pushing" our religion on everybody, and when an unbeliever pushes their atheistic or agnostic views, it's called enlightenment?  All we have to do is claim we believe in God, and it's "pushing" our beliefs.  

The obvious acceptable postings to unbelievers, is No posting at all from believers!  If you don't take this from anyone, and your sick to death of it, then what are you doing on a public forum?  This forum is for EVERYBODY to have an opportunity to post what they believe....or lack thereof.  

Also, your name calling, and/or negative titles towards believers show no manners, and a need to be in control, even if you have to stoop to verbal abrasive monologue to do so.

The burden of proof has been hashed out numerous times on other threads.  Very good discussions.  I happen to have seen you on a couple of them

Unbelievers are called to be arrogant and insulting to the latter. Cuppycake was just following the dogma of materialistic unbelief. 

  Shernajwine!!   Jesus was PERFECT...and He was humble, setting the example for believers to follow.   I recently heard a preacher ask something that I have been thinking about ALOT lately. First he asked "how would you like your obituary to read, how would you like to someday be remembered by others?"  then he asked "what would you like for God to remember MOST about you?" The latter there made me realize I got alot of work to do...lol

I heard today.....if you got arrested for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you? I HOPE SO!

I agree.  Jesus was humble, but never backed down on what was Truth when it was being whitewashed, or attacked by His enemies.  His driving out the money changers out of the temple certainly would have been seen as arrogant to the masses of that day, or our day today.  He never minced words (see the 4 Gospels) on man's sinful nature or the consequences thereof.  There was a time when He was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and then He said nothing to His accusers.  His time was done, and He laid down His life willingly....no man took it from Him.  

There is a time for defending the Gospel and what is written, in face of mockery.  The same Word that says turn the other cheek, also admonishes us to answer a fool in their folly.  Not to let anger overtake us, but to be angry and sin not.  We should have the wisdom to know the difference.

I'm hoping to cheat death and go in the rapture....  If I do die, it's what God says about me, will be more important than man.  I mean, look at what man says about Jesus in our day.  A lot of them don't even credit Him with even existing.  I want to hear HIM say "well done".  However, I'd like to be known as someone who fervently defended the Word of God, and wavered on nothing according to His Word.

If you want to believe it is  then more power to you.  I took offense when you called all believers of all religions mindless and brainwashed.  Then you turned around and pulled the same thing you accuse all believers of...trying to force your beliefs down people's throats.  It is not as cut and dry as you make it out to be; I used to believe all religion was  and then I found my faith.  Now I don't take offense to people believing differently than me...our differences are what make life interesting. 

I have disagreed with everyone on this forum at some point...but I have no hostility and I wouldn't dare tell anyone what they believe in their heart is  (unless they tried to tell me vaccines didn't prevent disease.  We'd have us a throw down on that topic.  You'd see the redneck come out in me on that one. ).

Sheryl, He was angry enough to overthrow tables and chairs, and permitted no one to walk through the temple carrying any vessel.  When I read these passages of scripture, I'm reminded how Moses (was angry) broke the tablets before the Hebrew Children when coming down Mt. Sinai.  We at times, can have the same righteous indignation when our Faith, and stand for the Gospel is drug through the verbal mud.  We are told to be angry, but sin not.  There is scripture that says behold the goodness, and the severity of God.  He is Love, and peace, but also the Judge of the whole world.  He is our Peace in the midst of the storms and trials in our life.  He is also the Avenger.  The Rewarder of those that follow Him, and also the Rewarder of those who reject Him.  You can't have one without the other.

I have a feeling that somehow I've offended you, and that wasn't my intention.  I apologize for whatever your taking offense to.  Sometimes I'll take someone's post and expound on it.....nothing else.

qon, that one word "it" is where I disagree with you.  It (religion) as a whole does not cause societal decay.  Some religions contribute to that fact, but not "it" (religion as a whole.)

I think we have handled it just fine. But I think it's funny that Queen is saying how selfish it is for us to not act concerned about hell and the people that will go there and then everyone, including her, says stop shoving your religion down people's throats.

No one has been shoving religion down anyone's throats here on this forum, as we have been having debates. If someone has been trying to shove religion down your throat (like your brainwashed mindless clueless family you mentioned) then stop taking it out on people in this forum with your insults and foul language.
