I am going to give you an answer to my question from a military point of view.  Most soldiers', actually the majority, do not want gays in the Army.  Once the gays' are found out, they face so much critisism and ridicule that it is almost intolerable for the gays to survive or even do their jobs.  Until the Army, In fact the entire Armed Forces, teaches and teaches and teaches the non gays that it's okay to serve, even though your gay, no law is going to change the way soldiers treat gays.

18 year old straight males just don't get it.  They will not tolerate the gays.   :sad1:

I am in agreement with those that think your sexual orientation should play no role in whether you can serve your country or not. Why don't they just stop women from serving and just allow straight men serve? Sounds ridiculous right? Because it is ridiculous. As long as the job gets done and our country is protected, who cares whether it's a straight man, gay man, or woman.

How would you feel to be in a fox hole with a *bleep* for days.

wow... *bleep*?  :angry7:  you know, at that point in time, of course I've never experienced being in a fox hole, I would like to think that my mind would be on other things, like surviving, for one. Not, whether the man that is fighting for yours/our country, thats sitting next to me, likes the sausage.

AND MORE APPLAUSE   :notworthy: :notworthy:  APPLAUSE   :notworthy: :notworthy:  APPLAUSE   :notworthy: :notworthy:

I agree... more applause from me!   :notworthy:  :notworthy:  :notworthy:

If you're going to whine about being in a foxhole with someone who prefers the hotdogs over the cheeseburgers, then do you really belong in that foxhole?  You need to be more concerned with surviving and keeping your fellow servicemen alive...you're both there because you love your country...and in the armed services, that is the only love that matters.

Don't get me wrong...I am grateful to those who risk their lives to defend the country that I love and am lucky to be living in...ALL OF THEM...regardless of their bedroom preferences.

I never understood why homosexuals weren't allowed to serve in the military first place. Sounds like discrimination to me. :confused1:
