I think he is doing the best he can do (the best ANYONE can do) right nw. People seem to blame Obama when we wouldn't even be in this situation if it wasn't for the Bush administration. Bush had EIGHT YEARS to turn this country around, but every year it just got worse. Obama became President at a very difficult time. BUT, he has only been the President for a year and a half. You cannot actually expect someone to change this country in that short amount of time. And in that short amount of time, he HAS done a lot. But, the media chooses not to focus on that. People seem to forget that the President really doesn't have that much power. If the congress doesn't want something done, it doesn't get done. No matter how much Obama wants it to happen. Give him more time. I know it's easy to judge, but you've got to give someone more time than a year and a half.

(And he hasn't made "empty promises". Everything he's said he would do, he's been trying to make happen. You have to be extremely naive to believe that everything he's promised would happen so quickly. He even said that it wouldn't be easy.)

I think he's great! why wouldn't i love a wall street boot-licking president? he puts wall street and big corporation's profits before the u.s. people. he lies, breaks the constitution, supported illegal spying on the american people (the "patriot" act), supported the banker's bailout, (which, by the way, ROBBED us of trillions of dollars.) Then sat by and let them loan OUR money BACK to us at interest, let them hoard the money and buy out other banks, insurance companies, media empires, etc., etc...Now why wouldn't i trust that he'll change america and support him?

Obama has not done anything to better this country. IMO. He's filled the people's heads with empty promises. He has spent more money in the first 2yrs on vacations and nonsense. Obama has said his intentions were to redistribute wealth as a means to help the poor, the underprivileged, etc... but his unstated intentions are the same as all politicians of his ilk; "to reach into as much private wealth as possible as a means towards expanding State power and control."  He's for the redistribution of wealth from the middle-class workers and producers to the already rich Wall Street bankers and financial executives. Whether Obama is intentionally implementing a communist America or whether he has a communist agenda, or whether Obama follows the teachings of radical community organizer Saul Alinsky, is actually not as important as Obama’s actual actions as president. He's shown us what he is capable of, and its not going to be good for this country.

I hear you on that.  Seniors on SSI have been denied COLA (Cost of Living Allowance) for 2010, and just got word that it's going to be denied for 2011 again.  These are people on fixed incomes already, and the price on food, medical, utilities, rent, etc. is still going up.

First of all it is Obama. Secondly, every one wants to keep putting the blame on Bush. While I agree he also made mistakes one cannot keep placing blame on everything that is transpiring in our current government and ecomony. Obama has been in office nearing two years and he has not assisted in making anything better but rather followed in making things worse. Where are the jobs he promised? Where is the economy boost? Why are we bailing out companies that did not assist the citizens? I could go on and on.

I think people need to evaluate the situation and stop defending Obama. If people want to defend Obama rather than posting he has only been in office for 19 months then post what positive things he has done. At that point, maybe one would have a good discussion.

Let see, what has Obama done to fix things  for the past 19 months that took bush 8 years to destroy. 1. Like it or not your getting health insurance, 2. We are now according to statics out of the recession, 3. are troops are leaving the middle east. 4. that oil spill was taking cared of pretty quickly even though people was bitching about it for months. What has bush done for the past 8 years to destroy this country & dumping it on Obama's watch. Let's see....1. started a war that we didn't need to be in. 2. It cost trillions to start a war. 3. Tax breaks for his rich buddies. 3. Dumping taxes to the middle & poor class. 4. Lied about cutting taxes in his election vows. 5. The rich, middle,poor class was suppose to be taxed according to their income status. That was a big laugh as a large chunk of my pay check was destroyed each month thanks to bush's lies. 6. Thank you bush for doing such a crappy job in aiding Katrina victims. As of today, they are still picking up the pieces. 7. Those banks that your bitching about now with Obama in office. You can thank Mr. X-pres. bush for that. Who do you think was his buddies; he was giving tax breaks to? It sure wasn't the middle & poor class. So, YES, PRESIDENT OBAMA is doing a great job for 19 months in office. With others contently blocking his efforts to help the country, I think he's the right man for the job. So, until you're in the president's seat & see how it's really like....SHUT - UP & SUPPORT YOUR PRESIDENT!!!!
