Finally got taken in a scam
« on: October 06, 2010, 05:04:49 pm »
Well it finally happned. I swore to myself that I would not put out money for these 'systems' that wuld make you alot of money quickly and it's all legal. And then I saw the Push Button Automatic Cash System. The purchase was through clickbank so I thought it was up and up. Well the software was supposed to be downloaded, no working download link. After 5 days I finally got them to promise to refund my money. So IF that works I'm saved and I will NEVER do that again. Heck, give me a ditch to dig. Hope no one here has had to go through all that.

Thats too bad that happened to you. It is getting harder and harder to avoid scams like that these days. It seems that every where you turn a new scam pops up. We all fall victim in some shape or form. It's hard to advise how to avoid scam, but I have a motto that I stick to an it works for me. If a deal seems too good to be true, then it's a scam. Free this day in age does not mean free, it means somewhere in the very fine print they have added in a clause where you are paying for a product or service. So, with that I shop at reputable businesses, local businesses, and always read the fine print, even if I have to get out my magnifying glass. I never give out my cell phone number or credit card number over the web, ever. Hope you get your money back and that you don't fall victim again.

I hear that Clickbank is good about refunds.  Sorry that you ran into a defunct program.

Im sorry that happened to you. It could have happened to anyone. Im sure that you are not the only one. Things are just to shacky right. Sometimes when you do take precaution at the the end you still get bit, but I  have learned to read the fine print. If it is to goood to be true or I am not feeling this. I just keep on moving.

harleyy2 is correct...if you call Clickbank, they absolutely clean up whatever mess got made with a great attitude.  had to do that a time or two myself when I was an affiliate of theirs.
sorry that happened to you.

Even the most cautious person can sometimes fall victim to things like this.  I only put money into things that either I have been involved with on a free basis enough to trust the opportunity or someone else that I know and trust is recommending it.  Even then, most of the things on line are never as easy as they sound or pay as much as they claim, so I only put money in that I earn at places like FC.  That way I am not risking any of my own money.  By using this method, I have grown my business and am now an upgraded member in many programs that provide small amounts of cash back to me each month.  I bought in, risk free by only risking what I made from free programs.

I have used the internet to purchase many things without ever having my credit card ripped off by scammers. I buy my medications thru an Ohio based company and from India for some, but they are a long way off from where I live. It's the way to go.
