Is it time that Marijuana is legalized or will that lead us down a dangerous road?

If you think a better economy is a dangerous road. marijuana could replace tobacco and alcohol simutaneously. also hep can be mae into: rope, clothing, housing material, fuel, BIODEGRADBLE PLASTIC, paper.....etc...
Think of how many jobs those industries would create. MILLIONS
also it would help save the environment.

It should be legalized.  It'd do wonders for our economy.  We could put a large tax on it and mint money.  Also gang violence would decrease because marjuana would be legal.  It's a total win-win.  the only bad thing is the health risk it poses, but cigarettes and alcohol are bad for you  too and they're legal.

I don't think the govn't should be able to regulate a plant. what's next? a certain type of soil being illegal? i don't want to see the part of the plant you smoke for retail in stores. you saw what the did to tobacco. If you wanna smoke it, grow it yourself, it ain't that hard, trust me, i know.

You're a damn fool if you think that it won't create jobs or help the conomy. You're telling me that all the industries hemp would create wouldn't need people to work them? it would create millions of jobs.

LOL..are you stupid, what jobs in your imagination do you think this will create?

If you are talking about using hemp to make other things they already do and it is not a widely used product, so why would making it legal to smoke have to do with that. I have some hemp converse.
Millions of jobs ::) you must be smoking.

That which can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence.

hwilliams-
Hemp can be used for clothing - we will need worker to work those factories
fuel - it can break our dependence on petrolium
housing - save the trees
paper - save the trees
BIODEGRADABLE - we could save the environment
Food - hemp oil has more protien than some meats
Rope, replace tobacco, alcohol (not medically), it's probably the cure to cancer since it's proven to kill cancerous cells, medical use...etc...etc...
Are you saying all thse industries won't create jobs? It's a wonder plant

Hemp is used for almost all of those things, but is not widely used for many reasons. Cost, addiction, and obviously not a good material to be used where fire can get too. Not to mention there are alot of people that don't want to be associated with it no matter what it is used for.
Is it a subsitute to other materials...yeah, is it a smart subsitute...NO.
