He testified in 2002 and in 2006. Here's the link to the site with both.

THANKS! i saw on fox news how they were a little upset ith conress calling colbert to the stand for the opening. they said they weren't surprised because they brought elmo before. They showed a picture of elmo at a desk in a suit and tie though, i don't think it's the same video as you gave me. but i haven't found aything otherwise, so maybe that was just a pic they showed. but thanks again.

Katie Perry’s Playdate With Elmo Was Censored by PBS
September 26, 2010

PBS ceded to parents who complained that the Katie Perry & Elmo “Hot and Cold” parody showed a little more skin that kids should see. Was it a calculated media draw, or are parents just over reacting? After all, Elmo is nude.

Are you really comparing an anatomically neutral puppet to a fully developed woman?

I seen a 20/20 segment that showed a woman that a collection of these life like dolls. She couldn't have children of her own and so she had all these dolls. She would take them out in public and people would think they were real. She would tell them how old the baby was and would talk about their eating and sleeping patterns and tell little stories about them like they are real. It was a little nutty!

I can see a person being a little attached to doll collection when, like this woman, she used this hobby to replace a real child in her life. But going as far as taking it into public and lying to strangers about your fake babies?? That seems like there is something deeper going on than just a passionate doll collecting hobby. Also she had birthday parties for them and all the babies attended  :confused1:

I think she looks good.

I don't go around dressed like that myself but I can remember watching Wonder Woman as a kid and I don't think the Sesame Street outfit was any worse than that.                Other Sesame Street scandals: http://www.zimbio.com/Sesame+Street/articles/LU-hseAj1Og/Top+10+Sesame+Street+Scandals

Please understand I respect your choice so respect mine by not taking something I see nothing wrong with away!! That is wrong..

So you are saying you wouldn't have a problem if Big Bird had a segment where he talked about Jesus and showed pictures of him on the cross, and told kids to pray to Jesus for salvation? Cuz, see I wouldn't have a problem with that, but I understand that others would and would not say they are *bleep* for asking it to be removed.

Sesame Street is not a religious program and they should respect that all viewers do not believe in Jesus. According to the article it doesn't even say parents asked it be pulled, but they were upset about the clip and Sesame Street pulled it on their own.

I could just turn the show off, however, I think I shouldn't have to be concerned if I leave the room that my child will see or hear something inappropriate at any point. I didn't turn on Family Guy for them to watch, I put on Sesame Street. I should be able to have assurance that they are seeing child appropriate things.

Sorry took so long to respond was busy lol..Yes I would find it wrong but I would simply not have my kids watch it I would not take the right of someone else who may not mind it..I understand you were offended..I still think censorship is wrong in any form..I say *bleep* due to the fact that there are more pressing issues are kids face besides tv and music..And other things parents should be fighting for not banning crap on the boob tube or radio..

People will always complain about what they like and what they do not like.

It's probably in marijuana. Marijuana is proven to kill cancerous cells.
