Okay everyone I know you guys are probably going to laugh...seriously but I am scared to death of driving on the Freeway!   
I get panic attacks for some reason and I just can't stand to look at the big semi-trucks or 18-wheelers running @ 75-80 MPH. I hate it also when they go towards an overpass and they look like they're not going to make it through....although they do by it seems like only an inch or two.   

i will not laugh at you because i too am scared of driving. not just on the freeway but driving anywhere. i have no idea why, i got my license at 16 and drove around just fine for 2 years. then one day when i was 18 i went to start the car and i had a serious panic attack. i did not realize what it was, i just got really hot and could not focus and felt like throwing up. my mom was with me and saw it and she said she would drive and once we switched seats i was fine. then it happened again and again and when i mentioned it to my dad he said my grandma (his mom) had been the same way. i've mentioned to my doctor and even she cant explain why it happens but i have not driven a car in almost 10 years because of it.

but even though i get frekaed out about driving, i think my true phobia is messing up my kids. nothing in the world scares me as much as the thought of my kids, as adults, telling someone that i screwed them up, that i am to blame for whatever might be wrong in their lives, ot that they might not want anything to do with me. i am a stay at home mom so every second of my day is dedicated to my kids and my husband and it would absolutely kill me if my kids were to grow up and not realize that

Okay it's probably weird but....I am afraid of stairs.... but only if they have open sides or bottoms, like the stairs for the big waterslides.  Funny thing is, I'm not afraid of heights at all.

Other than that, spiders and bees/wasps.

Actually if I ever watch a horror flick featuring unforgettable, horrific faces like the Grudge or the Exorcist, I can have trouble sleeping at night. Thank goodness I don’t watch horror movies anymore.

@mommagoes~ I thought that I was the only one that was scared of driving  until I read your post! I know what you mean by the panic attacks. I get them too sometimes, although not all the time. Just don't have me drive on the Freeway or any highway for that matter...LOL!  


As to relate to your other post.....I can agree with you on that too. I have a son, and I am also a stay at home mom, and everything that I do is for him. I have thought about that too, wondering what he would think of me when he is an adult. I just take one day at a time and pray and tell my son and God that I am doing the best I can. I always strive to do better than yesterday...that's kinda my motto that I live by now.

Then those of you afraid of heights, and lightening storms, would not have wanted to be on the plane I was on last night.  It was exciting.  We had some magnificent displays of lightening.  I enjoyed it, but felt bad for the people who were clearly scared to death.  I tried to calm a couple of them, but when your afraid.....your afraid.
