I agree. That letter totally explains all the crap Obama tries to cover with pretty words like "change." He tries to make it seems like his presidency is roses and flowers, when it actuality we don't even know who he is. He even takes advice from islamic extremists, but because of the risk of sounding hateful we all let it fly. His stance on government is extreme big government... Beck's and other conservatives is extreme small government. The only problem is he won't even consider Beck's ideas because he thinks his idea of government is too small. OUR CONSTITUTION IS FOUNDED ON SMALL GOVERNMENT. If socialism is the answer then freedom will the absolutely GONE and in America that is totally and completely wrong. If he wants big government he can move back to a country he was probably born in anyway and quit trying to morph the American government into one of wealthy elites and people with no freedom and redistributed wealth.

I think that people really need to take a look at our president. We should ALL be questioning. I was never for Obama, or Palin, or McCain(We haven't had any good candidates (in my eyes) in a while... but everyone's been so worried about a woman or an African American being president. It clouded their judgment, I think. Everyone I talked to, even people who have never voted before, were voting simply based on that. No one actually weighed them all out (based on the majority of people I spoke with). And the whole mosque at ground zero thing... Its just horrible in my eyes. and Obama hasnt even come out condemning the radical connections of the mosque or the fact that they are purposely desecrating the sacred land of ground zero, the land that brought America together. People really need to open their eyes. I personally don't think there is anything wrong with people practicing their religion, we are all entitled to our own beliefs, but to put it at ground zero is just insulting.
I was trying to find this thing on Obama, that I either heard on the radio or read on the internet about Obama's Lies...
... I finally found it:

I really liked this too.
Now, you shouldnt always listen to what you hear or read, I know; but this should at least get people thinking. We should be worried and prepared for anything. A little knowledge goes a long way.

That which can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence.

You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into in the first place.

That is so true. Even if EVERYONE didn't vote for the wrong reasons, many did. There were definitely not enough votes based on policy of the candidates and too many based on race or gender. This is apparent seeing as how many of the democrats who DID vote Obama are already starting to disagree. It's also apparent by how many who voted for him never even considered that he never even presented a birth certificate. If a regular ol white guy tried running for president without a birth certificate he would be a laughing stock.

Explain to me something, how is the negativety, mind blowing statistics that go on for days and days, hidden adgendas, and a list of undone tasks that everyone is upset about going to fix what hasn't happend from this Presidency faster????? Not a damn thing.........

Sorry that you are dissapointed in our President, but no matter how much reserch you do, or how much you dread the future under his presidency, it will never change the impatience, ignorance, and selfishness in America. Its unbelieviable to me that people do not recognize how good we have it here, and continue to ask for more and more.  The need for immediate, sweeping gratification, impossible standards people want met by the President, taking on a previous undone presidency, and a Republican party that from the beginning-AND I MEAN FROM THE BEGINING of Obama taking office~ no matter what the President and Democrats want to see eye to eye about, WILL NOT go along with ANYTHING from this presidency-period, is why his presidency is "failing"!!
Rachel Maddow said this(in so many words) and she was straight up and to the point.

When a political party has the preexisting plan to ruin someone's legacy, in every way possible (ie politically, personally, religiously, ect.) they will eventually succeed in disillusioning the public as they see fit, for their own selfish interests because they choose to.  It doesn't matter who takes office. In other words, there are sore loosers this time around, and this should not be, on either side, especially when it comes to the future of America and its citizens well being.

How exactly are you going to have a working presidency when one side is still seething over not winning the presidential election, and wasting their time talking about everything that Obama is doing wrong today, or will do wrong in the future to America??? Its toxic and unecessarry for all citizens in the United States to have this happen at all.  Satisfying one sector only leads to more unsatisfied people in another sector elsewhere, then the toxic politics begin. Its a downward spiral that never stops until someone else assumes responsibility, and then it immediately begins again!!! So I say, what is the freakin' point?
His presidency was planned to be doomed from the get-go by others.

Ask yourself this one...out of all the problems we have here in America, don't you think some people, somewhere else in this world have it much worse than we do right now?? I think we are pretty damn lucky to be where we are at right now, and I don't blame the President for any of our problems, he mearly stepped in to the muck already smothered everywhere from a previous presidency, and politics just make it all the more of a mess for him.

So you see, no matter what happenes, Americans will continue to be selfish about things like this, and it will never change. The president is only one man-and snappin' his fingers aint gonna change a thing!!  There will always be conspiracy theorist out there, don't believe everything you hear (Glenn Beck is CRAZY!!!) Take stock of your life and everything around you, and make intelligent decisions about people. Don't be so quick to judge our president, unless you have run the country yourself. As far as the military goes, people choose to join of their own free will, to represent and/or fight for America, which means they have no choice but to go over seas, if called to duty by the president, plain and simple! It was their choice, whether or not they survive or not-remember-it was a choice. Please do not think that people's sons and daughters who pass away in battle overseas doesn't weigh heavy on his heart......he's not a robot, you know.

Guess what, if you and your family are safe and healthy here, and you make enough money to get by, you have your good days, and your bad days-but you are taken care of. I'd say he's doing a pretty good job, it could always be worse, you know.
All that negativety, not helping- just let it go.......someone else somewhere else has it worse than you.

tzs,
I, for one, am not a sore loser.  I just wish more people could see the overall picture for down the road.  Many people look at the here and now instead of studying up on what is going on, what is being changed, and what goals are being set for our country. And it just plain doesn't look to be in keeping with values and traditions our country was built on.

I heard that, too.  I have also heard Obama himself say, "We celebrate the principles that are timeless, tenets first declared by men of property and wealth but which gave rise to what Lincoln called a new birth of freedom in America-civil rights and voting rights, workers' rights and women's rights, and the rights of every American" (courtesy of "Rescue America") This was just said on Independence Day, 2010.

He refuses to acknowledge that, "Our nation's greatness was and is exhibited by the fact that dirt poor men like Samuel Adams and men of "wealth and property" like Thomas Jefferson believed so much in freedom that, unlike Barack Obama, of one mind and one accord America's founders put aside many differences to lay the foundation for our nation's liberty and glorious, God-given independence." (courtesy also from "Rescue America")

He never one time mentions or upholds the fact that Christians also came to worship God freely instead of how the King of England demanded.

Thomas Jefferson also took "liberties" with the constitution and was the main advocate for manifest destiny......hero????

The Louisiana Purchase was one of the largest land deals in history. In 1803, the United States paid approximately $15 million dollars for over 800,000 square miles of land. This land deal was arguably the greatest achievement of Thomas Jefferson's presidency but also posed a major philosophical problem for Jefferson.
Thomas Jefferson the Anti-Federalist

Thomas Jefferson was strongly anti-federalist. While he might have written the Declaration of Independence, he definitely did not author the Constitution. Instead, that document was mainly written by James Madison. Jefferson spoke against a strong federal government and instead advocated states' rights. He feared tyranny of any kind and only recognized the need for a strong, central government in terms of foreign affairs.

Jefferson's philosophy concerning the role of the central government can be most clearly seen when investigating his disagreement with Alexander Hamilton over the creation of a National Bank. Hamilton was a staunch supporter of a strong central government. While it a National Bank was not expressly mentioned in the Constitution, Hamilton felt that the elastic clause (Art I., Sect. 8, Clause 18) gave the government the power to create such a body. Jefferson completely disagreed. He felt that all powers given to the National Government were enumerated. If they were not expressly mentioned in the Constitution then they were reserved to the states.
Jefferson's Compromise

How does this relate to the Louisiana Purchase? By completing this purchase, Jefferson had to put aside his principles because the allowance for this type of transaction was not expressly listed in the Constitution. Waiting for a Constitutional amendment might cause the deal to fall through. Therefore, Jefferson decided to go through with the purchase. Luckily, the people of the United States basically agreed that this was an excellent move.

Why did Jefferson feel this deal was so necessary? Because in 1801, Spain and France signed a secret treaty ceding Louisiana to France. France suddenly posed a potential threat to America. There was a fear that if America did not purchase New Orleans from France, it could lead to war. The change of ownership of this key port resulted in its closing to Americans. Therefore, Jefferson sent envoys to France to try and secure its purchase. Instead, they returned with an agreement to buy the entire Louisiana Territory. America did not have the money to pay the $15 million outright so they instead borrowed the money from Great Britain at 6% interest.
Importance of the Louisiana Purchase

With the purchase of this new territory, the land area of America nearly doubled. However, the exact southern and western boundaries were not defined in the purchase. America would have to deal with Spain to work out the specific details of these boundaries. Meriwether Lewis and William Clark led a small expeditionary group called the Corps of Discovery into the territory. They are just the beginning of America's fascination with exploring the west. Whether or not America had a 'Manifest Destiny' to span from 'sea to sea' as was often the rallying cry of the early to mid 19th century, the desire to control this territory cannot be denied.

What were the effects of Jefferson's decision to go against his own philosophy concerning a strict interpretation of the Constitution? It can be argued that his taking liberties with the Constitution in the name of need and expediency would lead to future Presidents feeling justified with a continual increase in the elasticity of Article I, Section 8, Clause 18. Jefferson should rightly be remembered for the great deed of purchasing this enormous tract of land. But one wonders if he might regret the means in which he earned this fame.

Do you honestly think it's smart to put the federal reserve in power? - which is one of many unconstitutional things he's done, he's basicly burning the constitution. tell me one good thing he's done for this country.

I agree nobody is perfect. but don't you think our president should actually be a leader, instead of a wall street puppet? have you noticed hasn't kept one promise, in fact, he's did the exact opposite in most cases. he's not here for th best interest of you and me, he plans to please the bankers, the ones he allows to rob the people. yes obama is allowing and assising in ROBBING you.

I do agree ..But I still think I owe myself and him a chance to redeem the wrongs he has done..And if he ends up like a bush then I will say I was wrong in my vote..I gave bush the benefit of the doubt the whole time in office and was left feeling stupid and mad..But I made a mistake in believing to much..I believe in that we put to much umm stock in out presidents to be all honest and perfect and well our government has a lot of say in what they do so it falls on all not just one person..So if I am wrong and he does not redeem himself then I would totally feel failed but I would also know it is always a possibility no matter who we put in office its a game of Russian roulette..I think McCain would have screwed us worse he gave me a bad bad vibe.. :peace:
