My husband actually quit this past year, well he says he did lol. He just got busted a few weeks ago coming in the house smelling like smoke lol. I guess he doesn't realize to a non-smoker just how powerful that smell is. Anyways he says he only smokes one every now and then maybe one every few weeks. But what helped him quit was easing himself off the nicotine with those sinus packets. Gross in my opinion to watch him sucking on mini teabags full of tobacco but it was kind of better than him breathing in smoke constantly. I was concerned with him using them at first because of the whole mouth cancer issue, but in the big picture it was better to have him doing that while he came off the nicotine addiction gradually. At one time he tried the patches which did work, but he had a job where he sweat a lot and they always came off and made him want to smoke when all his co-workers were. He swears that smoking weed makes it easier to quit smoking cigs but I wouldn't know from personal experience. Having the temptation of another smoker around always makes it harder though he had a real hard time with quiting and visiting family when they all smoked. I think the sinus helped him the most though and now he doesn't do that either aside from the cig here and there. Does your GF smoke too? or does she just buy them for you because you don't? strangely enough I used to do that for my hubby too. It became a habit to just pick up his cigs for him while I was out. And then when he tried to quit his moods were just intolerable so sometimes I would buy them for my sanity lol. But good luck with quitting though my hubby says he feels a lot better when hes not smoking breathing wise.
