Koran Burning Canceled
« on: September 09, 2010, 02:17:12 pm »
The pastor agreed to cancel the Koran burning because the leader of the planned islamic center near ground zero in NYC has agreed to move the project to another location!

Hey this guy is smart after all..

Marie you really should get your facts straight before you get excited and post the same misguided facts on different threads.  Perhaps you misunderstood what you were hearing or read, but there has been no actual deal for the moving of the cultural center.  Rauf hasent even been spoken to yet as per every national news station as well as yahoo and msn articles.  http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5hKWWJdTrfALpbYfWB6fM58p6u-pwD9I4LKUG0.  All I am saying is jumping the gun and assuming only makes a person look uninformed.  We all can read and see the news as well.

No problem I found it on yahoo and msn if you want to look at both.  As well as it was on every channel's nightly news.

Marie wasn't 100% wrong...

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/quran_burning

Apparently, Jones was under the impression the Cultural Center would be moved without Imam Rauf ever confirming it because of an Imam close to Jones and his congregation.

This is what kills me, though...
"We are, of course, now against any other group burning Qurans," Jones said. "We would right now ask no one to burn Qurans. We are absolutely strong on that. It is not the time to do it."

Uh, yeah, Jones...you're really the one to be telling people they shouldn't burn the Qu'ran.  Hypocrite.
