Grandchildren

For the older members of this forum, I'm interested in the subject of grandchildren.  I have one grandson, 2 1/2, whom we adore, my husband and I.  I make a tremendous effort not to give unwanted advice to his parents.  They are truly great parents, but sometimes my opinions almost slip out.  However, we're all very close, and I think grandparenting is one of the greatest joys in life.

Oh.... it's great to hear this.
I'm not in the grandparent category -- i have a 3 year old son though and I wish he could see his grandparents more often.  we talk about them lots and show pictures and he does talk to them on the phone.

   We have 2 granddaughters, ages 2 yrs. and 5 yrs.  We are so enjoying being Nana and Papa!!!!! The 5 yr. old starts Kindergarten the day after Labor Day so we're all excited for her!  The 2 yr. old is at that "getting into everything" stage!'  We have some ups and downs with the dtr-in-law, but like you, we are a close family.
