Breastfeeding helped losing the weight as well. I went from 145 after I had the baby which it was 6 months ago and already Im down to 115. Staying active helps alot too. But at the same time you gotta give yourself time to heal before you start being to active

I think they key to any weight reduction is to eat less and exercise more.  I know it sounds like common advice but it is just plain factual.  Less intake + consistant exercise = weight loss

Sorry to hear you can't lose the baby weight. Before I had my daughter I weighed 125 lbs, while pregnant I zoomed up to 150 lbs.  After having my daughter, I wasn't trying to lose weight, but I was  down to 118 lbs.  For some reason I wasn't hungry so I really never ate anything after her birth.

Hope you can finally lose those baby lbs.  For some its kind of hard to do.

;)    How many pounds can you expect to shed after the baby's birth?

I have a 4yr old daughter and a 3yr old son. I breastfeed with both of them. I had my son in 2007. After my birth. I drink plenty of water daily. I still eat 6 times a day and it was done in moderation. I was able to lose 50lbs and kept it off.

I gained 30-35 lbs during my pregnancy and actually wanted to keep some of the weight but I was back to pre-pregnancy weight within 2 months, I've been tiny my whole life thou so I'm the exception.

I really wish I had better advice then to watch what you eat, continue to take your prenatal vitamins - calcium pills too and breast feed.  Maybe take your babe out in the stroller for walks, since winter is just around the corner maybe do this at the mall?

Breastfeeding always helped me get back down to my pre-pregancy weight!

Breastfeeding didn't work for me. I had twins and gained almost 60 pounds my twins were very big for being twins.
I have dropped weight but through exercise and diet. I dropped 45 pounds.... The major things I did was cardio and weight training.
But I got stuck at my current weight and can't seem to lose more with this method.

With my last son, I had gained a ton of weight and had a lot of fluid. I was up to 165 from 130, but I'm tall. After he was born, I did absolutely killer floor leg exercises that were so very hard but got down to 125 in a matter of weeks. I have never worked so hard at exercising in my life.
