Why do Christians hate atheists?

Anyone who sets up a thread to talk about "hateful" Christians, then gets replies from Christians  that say basically "well, don't know about anyone else, but I'm a Christian and I don't hate atheists"....then the thread starter proceeds to make comments implying that Christian beliefs are inferior, degrading them for what they believe.....well, they obviously don't want to debate, they want to Christian bash. Maybe a thread should be started about Why do Atheists hate Christians.

See all of you have made my thread worth reading and without pure debate on anyone's behalf I have to say im a little disappointed. Sorry you all got so upset by my thinking and putting it on here. Now realize that all you did was make me realize you all are nothing but a bunch of nonsense words about your god and you have no compassion. People are all different we think different, act different and thankfully we all do not go on about such things we cannot back up. I'm glad your prayers were answered but in all actuality you made things possible no one else. And talking to a dog that's just ludicrous and made no sense what so ever. I only started this thread as there are a handful of GOD threads, about time some fresh outlook is on here.

Amy - you cannot speak for Christians in what you said above.  It sounds to me that you are not open to debate and handle it by showing the very same animosity you mentioned above.  You attack back with opinionated words and that's not a good testimony to whatever it is you have faith in.

Obviously you haven't read all the God threads because the skeptics have not been shy about posting their side of debate. And the most heated debates are normally started by the queen of atheism herself! Your thread has served no purpose but to insult Christians. No one has debated you here because all you have done is insult people. I personally don't debate with people that are going to be disrespectful in their tactics to respond.

What do they have? A thousands-year-old book filled with stories of talking snakes, global floods, and dead people coming back to life that was written by superstitious sheep herders who didn't have the benefit of modern science with which to understand the world. They also have faith. Faith based on this ancient book, and nothing else. This is a very tenuous position to say the least.

I have VISIONS, I have God ANSWERING PRAYERS, I have myself asking QUESTIONS and GOD ANSWERING THEM... I have spirtual encounters...I have lots of supernatural things going on...sometimes it is bad...but mostly, beautiful.

Go ahead call me what you want, I have reasons to speak as if God is real...while others HOPE?

Well good for you but again what about the millions of children praying to get help with food, with parents?? What about all the "prayers" gone un answered? What makes you more important to god than others?

Are they children of God? I know since I was a toddler, I have know about him.

Are you saying G-d only cares about the children that believe?

Nope im just not going to set here and read how people are mean to her. If she would stop shoving god down peoples throats maybe no one would treat her as if she was a lunatic. Im not trying to convert people into thinking another way, but people do have different ways of life!
