Taxes on FC Money
« on: August 22, 2010, 03:50:59 am »
I'm a college student, I'm only 19 and I've never had a job job where I have to file taxes. Do I legally have to do anything like that when I cash out on FC?

Only if you reach $600 in a year.  It really depends on how much you make.  FC will send you something if you make at least $600 in a year.

Yea, the site will send you information regarding taxes if you achieve the $600.00 in a year.

Yeah bud, don't worry! You're in the clear, so keep at it! As previously noted, the limit is 600 bucks.

That $600 limit isn't when it becomes taxable, it's when FC needs to send you a 1099 misc.  This is all earned income so it's taxable from the 1st $1 actually. :crybaby2: :crybaby2:

As has been stated by the Admin many times, everyone's tax situation is different.  You should consult a tax expert about your own situation and how income on here effects you.

But, as has been stated, you will receive a 1099 from FusionCash if you make $600 or more a year.  This is required by law.

If I had seen the Admin post that I wouldn't have asked, obviously I missed that thread.

Even if you did get a 1099 from FC, with you being a student it probably would not affect you.
