Depends on where u live and wats available to you. But in my city ther eis a store called DD's and they have the best prices. Like a 2 piece outfit for 4.99 I think that is a great deal.
Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little.NEED Help? Check out my Beginners Guide pinned in the Support forum :)

Forget Target, Forget Walmart! Forget ALL retail stores!

The very BEST price for good quality baby clothes among other things is...

GARAGE SALES - You can't beat these prices, high quality stuff if it's a decent, good neighborhood!
Your local newspapers will usually announce the good garage sales!

THRIFT STORES - Goodwill stores are a goldmine, Do some Google searches for thrift stores, resale stores in your area, there are some
baby stores that will even buy your used (good condition) baby items along with giving you great deals on baby merchandise!

OUTLETS - Check to see if there are any OUTLET shopping centers in your area, they can save you a fortune! Outlets are the actual
brand name stores, they set up outlet shops to get rid of brand new stuff that didn't sell at their main store locations. I've gotten
incredible deals on BRAND NEW stuff for my son at up to 80% off, NO JOKE!!!!!!!!

EBAY / CRAIGSLIST : Check out Ebay and Craigslist, I have sold and bought LOTS of PERFECT condition baby stuff using those 2 sites. They are great, every parent's dream!!! Ebay you have to pay to sell but Craigslist is FREE!

I hope this helps!

Alex

Another good place is "Once Upon a Child".  You can also take clothes there to be sold once they are out grown.

I second that :) Once Upon a Child is awesome, when it comes to baby clothes I drive an hour to the nearest location rather than going to Walmart biggest problem with walmart is the quality and they shrink especially how much you wash baby clothes.  We have a very nice Once Upon a child about an hour away from here I all ways bought my daughters baby clothes there.  Still do buy her clothes there and shes five now.  Our store is great because its in a very nice area where the people have more money than they know what to do with lol.. So they tend to sell clothes back very quickly a lot of times stuff will still have the tags on them.  But most of all you cant beat the price I remember when she was a baby we could get a huge bag of clothes there for $50.  And were talking all name brand stuff not just the cheap stuff from walmart.

I just did a search for Once Upon a Child, the closest one to me is almost 2 hours away!   :'(  How sad!  It looks like an awesome place to go.

Shoot, I'd like to open one of my own here, I know it'd be a hit, especially the way things are today. Hmmm....something to mention to my hubby later...LOL

I would probably still drive the two hours lol I like it that much..  I already drive an hour to get there as it is I just buy a lot when I go to last for a long time lol.  We make the trip probably about 3-4 times a year but hubby never complains because he gets to visit his friends while were there because we used to live in that area.  But if you haven't checked it out its worth a two hour trip imo.  But then again in our situation we live in a rural area so we don't have many other options for kids clothes other than walmart and even that's 30 min away so I just go the distance for the better store.  I would love to open one in our area too, would be a lot of fun working there too I love looking at and even folding baby clothes lol makes me want another.

Great suggestions Alex.  If you do go to any stores, hit the sales racks. I was pregnant sept-may so in the winter I bought 6 mths clothing, now I am buying 12 mth clothing etc, it's easiest to stock up for the future and spend less.

We used to have a Once Upon a Child close to us as well, but then it closed down. :( I agree, garage sales / thrift stores are PERFECT places to get gently used clothing. You have to use your best judgement on those though and make sure that they've been cleaned and just look acceptable. Dollar stores are also great places to get some cheap and good baby clothes. When my niece was born we got her clothes from the dollar store and she loves them! Also remember to stock up when they have sales. If your baby doesn't quite fit into the size they are having the sale for, buy the clothing anyway and that way you will have it for when they do fit into them!

If you have a goodwill or thrift store near by hose are the best. Since littles ones grow up so fast their clothes are hardly used. I know at Goodwill the infants stuff is around 2 dollars a piece sometimes sets for $2. If you are looking for a toddler clothes are around $3 a piece.

I luv the outlets....
Carter's is the best for the price...wait until there are sales and you can get some pretty cheap stuff for good quality. Osh Kosh outlet is also good for overalls and jeans.

Other place to find cheap and quality clothes...Ross and Marshalls...if you are willing to look through a lot of stuff and wait long lines, you can find name brand baby clothing for a third of the price.

Goodwill and thrift stores are also great for the maternity clothes as well.

It's a shame you don't live in my area because next weekend my dad is having a yard sale and my boyfriend and I are selling all the stuff our daughter has outgrown. We have a ton of clothes, a bassinet/mobile. My daughter slept in the bassinet about a week & a half and was moved into her crib after that. We bought the bassinet because we thought she'd weigh between 4 1/2 and 5 pounds when she came home but ended up weighing 10 pounds 6 ounces and would smack the sides of the bassinet and would wake herself up so her time in it was short. She slept in 10 minute spurts. I'll be glad to get rid of everything.
