what do you think about teenages having kids?

My mother had me when she was 17 and raised me to not have kids young.  I finished college, bought a condo and had my car paid off before having a child.  I wish everyone was as fortunate as me to have most of their ducks in a row

i was 19 when i got pregnant but living with my bf and working.. so i dont think anything wrong with it.. BUT i had my stuff together now the girls u see on TV "teen mom" still living with their parents.. still being children themself... now thats wrong...

I think that anyone that has a kid, should have a house, and a job first, do teenagers have homes of their own and jobs, not many of them, they should finish school, when they can truly say they can afford a child, then commit to marriage and a decent home life, then have kids.

I don't think anyone should be having sex period until they are adults and can handle adult responsibility.  If they are going to have sex they need to take every precaution possible not to get pregnant.  I understand sometimes protection fails but to purposely have unprotected sex knowing you could get pregnant especially when you are not ready for a child is just stupid.  Some teens get pregnant on purpose without fully thinking about the consequences and that is just awful.

It should be avoided. Even the ones that turn out to be the best of moms and get their stuff together have a really hard time getting there. I don't approve of abortions though, having a couple/person all set up to adopt would be a better option.

I think it depends on maturity level. I don't think kids under 18 should be involved with sex personally. I don't have kids yet and I'm 22. I know I couldn't handle it.

it depends on the person and where they are in their life and what they have going on in their life.  I was 18 when I got married and 19 when I got pregnant.  I'm 23 now and happy as ever.  But i was ready to settle down and actually be an adult, not every person can say that.

i am in disapproval bout that i think shame on the parents .. i moved out at 13 , i know crazy huh ! well i got into a heap of trouble got married and pregnant at 17, went to prison at 18 , got into more trouble in my late 20's then at 31 i finally found the lord , and i thank god every day my kids are nothing like i was

I think its crazy. My cousin is 14 and she recently found out she was pregnant. I dont know how but she ended up loosing her baby. Now the boy that got her pregnant want to kill her.. He turned my aunts house on fire.. Kids that age are unstable and shouldn't be having babies.  It was in sane but every one got out the house safe..

I completely agree with this.  Maturity is massively important as well.

I think that be a teenager first so you know you are ready,its better for you and the baby..You give up so much to be a parent..And to be a good parent you have to know who you are as a person and be ready for all the responsibility..

It's totally avoidable and unnecessary.  Teens don't have to get pregnant. It's morally wrong to do anything before you're married.  But parents are also at fault. They don't teach their kids right. Sometimes they're too tough or too easy going.  I don't think people should kick their kids out though.  That's terrible.  Where are they supposed to go if not home?  There's always abortion too.  But still teen pregnancy is completely avoidable and unnecessary.
