When Does School Start Where You Live?

I can't believe school starts here in Dublin Virginia at the end of Aug. Where has summer gone. I know we still have at least a month or so of summer left. But I hate to see the kids go back to school so soon and as hot as it is. They don't want to be in school on these nice days they want to be out side playing. When does school start where you live?

   Our school, here in GA, starts tomorrow.

my school starts after labor day weekend but most schools in the chicago area that i know of start around the last week of august

In Fort Worth, Texas school ended June 5th and starts August 23rd. Not much summer time.

Wow, June 5th, till August 23rd. Thats not good. Im near Tulsa, Oklahoma, we start Wednesday. I'm not gonna be ready at all

My kids starts back on 8-11. we live in ky. They are not ready to go back. I hate that they go back so early. Kid's can not be a kid any more.School here in ky gives alot of home-work.(fun-time over)

My little cousins in GA went back last week.  I'm from MD and we always went back the day after labor day.  We got out in the middle of June.  I remember my cousins in NC would get out in May and go back August.  I'd rather get out late and go back late than to get out early and go back early.
