Look at it this way: Less drama!

To be honest, I could really care less who Ignores me!
Some of the best conversations have been with myself as who knows ME, better than I ?

thats kind of a zen thing right there.

JLB land sounds like my kinda place . and i have been ignored but i don't care. if someone is that sensitive then they probably shouldn't read anything i write anyways :bootyshake:, but it is kinda hard to get across a sense of humor on the web, especially sarcasm i have noticed that my sarcasm doesnt go over well, and is usually taken seriously, but what ya gonna do.

I have only ignored one person, and i just had enuff of her knowitallcantspellworthadamntalkinglikesheisthequeenofeveryGPTsiteazz.. i almost hated to come on the forums because of that broad. :BangHead:..i do wish we had the ignore button back when the whiners were constantly crying, but better late then never..

I have learned to hold my tongue tho..my thought is if someone is out of line with another FC member its up to staff to step in..its not my job and if they dont give a damn..ditto...i have also noticed alot of the groupies have calmed down quite a bit  good for them!...i bet they just recently came to realize they were the groupies....

I dont think anyone really has to be ignored because we can all agree to disagree...Im not a FC groupie because being one does not put more money in my pocket, nor does posting alot and boosting myself up tryin to reach some 'special member' status...im like everybody else..just tryin to make a few quick bucks with the least amount of effort..

p.s if anyone ignores me, you will miss seeing that adorable pic of the newborn baby polar bear....and it will be your own fault!!..haha i crack myself up sometimes i tell ya..

There are 3 I have ignored who are multi-posters: Those who start a thread (or post in someone elses) and then, post the SAME crap in almost EVERY thread. What some call, "Forum Spamming"! I look at that like this: if you had a record that skipped and just repeated the same thing over & over & over again, you'd throw it out. Not continue to listen to it!
And to ignore a user who abuses the Forum to spam their banter, is easier than complaining to FC all the time. (FC does not always catch these types of users).

I could care less WHAT someone types to me as they are just words upon the screen. And most people act like an  :bootyshake: when they're online (and it's not typically the way they would act in their everyday life).
So I just mark it as "childish internet banter".

The only time I got truly upset was when someone was making a joke over those with learning disabilities & as a member of a family who has disabled persons in it, I found it distasteful. But, it goes along with the lines of everyone having a right to their own opinions & living their life the way they so choose to do so. And me getting upset online is going to do nobody any good. So I dropped the issue.

There is ONE I have on Ignore that got placed there b/c she felt the need to post directly to me in every thread I posted in. Some would state their opinions on a certain matter and she'd come right in and make a reply just to ME!

I guess I should take it as having a fan base & be flattered but it sorta borders on the line of stalking/harrassement and that's just "loserville" status to me. So, she got put on Ignore as I don't waste my time with those who should act like an adult when they are an adult but instead act like some kid who has nothing better to do with their time! And her posts weren't worth the time it was taking to scroll past them just to read the posts from those I care to read. Ignore is soooo much easier!

And the comments regarding the length of my typing here: a.k.a "books", well, TOO BAD! I'm a woman of many words, type fast and I enjoy conversation. So if no one likes, (sticks middle finger up), "THERE'S YOUR SIGN!"......... Please exit stage left!

FC does need to step in more often though and at least WARN those who bash people here & harrass them. Afterall, is it not FC who states in Forum Rules that the use of this Forum is a Privilege & not a Right??
Therefore, nobody should have the right to harrass people here, PERIOD!

Could be because you posted basically the exact same message 37 times:
search results for "Bring Back Manual Credit Petition"

Why do i get the feeling she is the same person i was talking about earlier?..lol...if she was posting on every thread you posted on, she was indeed stalking you.., guess she just went to your profile to see what your last post was and just had to make a comment so you would notice her...creepy..

but it is kinda hard to get across a sense of humor on the web, especially sarcasm i have noticed that my sarcasm doesnt go over well, and is usually taken seriously, but what ya gonna do.

yall had some great comments here, but i specifically wanted to reply to this....

thats my problem too. if any of you knew me in real life... yall would know that 99% of what comes out of my mouth is meant in a humorous way.

i like to laugh.... and can find humor very often, where others may not.

i might laugh at you for falling down... but i laugh at myself too when i fall.

to MystedMoon ~ i honestly believe that with disabled people.... some people take unnecessary and overly concerned steps to shield them from the world.

they are people too and inclusion is an important aspect of the human condition.

while no way equal to sitting in a wheelchair every single day.... i dont get pissed at people who laugh at me for picking up the red book when they ask for the green one.

"whats a matter with you?.... YOU COLORBLIND?"

"yeah, and your head is the size of a basketball. so, we're brothers in the freak department."

Exactly meadowsmay! It is impossible (unless you're actually viewing the person via a webcam at the time the post was typed), to see facial expressions, body language, etc.
Many here have brash, sarcastic and dry senses of humor. There are those who cannot detect that and take it, literally, "out of text".

For jlb~ I totally agree that some disabled people do use their disability to hide behind/sheild them from the rest of the world. BUT, unless those who aren't disabled haven't been through whatever it is they are going through, both mentally & physically, nobody has a right to judge them.
Heck, nobody has a right to judge anyone. We are all but mere humans with imperfections, flaws and quirks.
If we were all perfect, we'd be SOL as this world would be one huge lump of BORING!!

But I do agree with you.

judge people? we do that just about every single day.... i dont get caught up in thinking about it.

today, as i took my mom for a late lunch.... i saw something that i guess i havent seen in YEARS!

some dude hitchhiking.... yeah, i couldnt believe it.

do i give him a ride.... or am i concerned with my moms safety?

sorry, dude..... but you got judged in about 2 seconds.

so, MystedMoon.... have you ever seen someone coming towards you.... and through your experience KNEW or even thought that you didnt want to hear their B.S. so you avoided them or made an excuse to get away from them?

of course you have.... we ALL have.

congratulations..... you passed judgement on someone else. (oh here they come again talking that same old crap!... let me get out of here!)

a guy just walked up and asked what i was doing..... told him about FC and we started talking about money.

he brought up the lotto and said..... if i won $50 million, i'd still work.

HUH? i replied.

if i won $50 million, youd never seen me again unless you come to rio..... because i'll be on the beach, drinking mixed drinks and having the finest women that money could buy dancing around me all day.

.... and not giving a damn about anything!

or i'd go to a country to where the median income for its people is $100 a year..... and just BUY it.

the entire country.

rename it..... JLB-land.

Belive it or not that person isn't the only one who would say that he would keep working.  I too would keep working however I just wouldn't work as hard.  The only differance is I would make my money work for me and I would never have to leave my home.  YOu see what I meen by working is I would invest my money and make more money.  One can never have enough money these days.

If we wind up having a Democrat in the White House as a President then no matter how much money you have it will never be enough.

Vote Republican.  Vote for Mike Huckabee for President.
                                http://www.mikehuckabee.com/?FuseAction=About.Home

Vote for the Fair Tax and lets get rid of the IRS once and for all.

I would still work probably, just as hard, just not as much. (:

You are still getting paid, so you still have to work as hard.
But not as much. ;D;D;D
