Hope for the best for them. Real blow to my economy. No wonder Obama is pissed.

I think a company that has profits in the billions should take full financial responsibility.

Yes they certainly should. They should also own up to the major part the played in getting a convicted murderer/terrorist released from prison to further an oil deal with libya !

:BangHead: What people do not understand, is the oilwell is 1 mile down. I now believe they are trying their best to stop that mess from continuing. Look with what they have to work with. Robotics is not easy at that depth. they are used to working in much easier conditions. So, the Gulf is basically screwed for years to come; maybe a decade? That`s    Life! :dontknow:

Could of happend to any oil company, at any time, maybe this is a sign that we are using way too much oil. Maybe this is a sign what we are doing to our environment.

Ecologically, not even close to that long. It's only going to be devastated financially as long as the media drags the story out. Look at what they did for Katrina.

I am upset at the fact that there was an oil spill, but boycotting BP is not the answer seeing as how 90% of BP's are owned by individuals who just pay to use the name ;)

I guess it's just one of those things that happens. I think BP is doing what they can, under the circumstances. They weren't allowed to burn the oil because environmentalists were saying that it would hurt the animals. Well, they're dying anyway. BP and the government should just do what they can and hope for the best.

They screwed up, they cut corners and bribed people, and they bear full responsibility for this disaster.  This is the biggest environmental catastrophe in US history, and all some of you can say is "That's life?"  Jeez.

I don't blame BP.  It's the environmentalists fault they had to drill so far below the water surface.  It's no wonder it takes a long time to fix the problem.
