Anyone that intelligently considers whether or not to have a child is probably right, however we need you to have them.
It suck when a married couple making good money tries so hard to have a baby but can't. They go to the doctor and everything.
Then two hillbillies share the same bathwater in the trailer and BOOM baby after baby.

We need smarter people to have babies or we will go instinct on account of all the idiots having babies. 16 and pregnant was one of MTV's most popular shows.  Don't make this our future

ignorant people having babies does not mean their children will also be ignorant. married couples who can't get pregnant should consider adopting one of the millions of children in the world who are orphans. they should stop trying to add to the population and use their good fortune to share with a child who is without a family and a home.

if this is your argument for why people should have children (whether they want to or not). it's weak and prejudice. you're basically saying that only people who fit into your category of intelligence should have children. no teenagers should not have babies but unfortunately it happens. but if a person decides to not have a baby, that's a personal decision.

Ummmm... Yes. It does.  An overwhelming majority of white trash stays that way.  And ofcourse you'll give me an example or two about you know these two cousins that gave birth to a genius.  That doesn't happen often.  Stupidity typically breeds stupidity.  Go to a Walmart some day.  Not looking good for humans.

I think it is selfish to have kids you don't want to raise or be a parent too..I know way to many of these..

  three? (lol) There are so many "rich & famous"/celebrities/sports figures who either have had kids in trouble or are themselves a rich kid that has made the news.

hmmmmmm just saw a website the other day entitled 100 Celebrities Arrested for Drug Possession, i guess only 3 of them really did it tho lol

I am a 40 year old childless woman and have been married happily for 6 years. I am happy that I don't have any children and I don't think that I am selfish for not adding to the worlds population. Why would I want to bring a child into this world with all the war, hate, crime and economic instability. There was a time in my life when I wanted to have a child, but a fight with cancer took that chance away. Today I am glad that I don't have children and the wish to have them does not exist anymore. I have 3 very sweet and loving cats and to me they are my children. They are less expensive that human children. I don't have to worry about forking out thousands of dollars to feed and clothe them each year and I don't have to worry about how can I afford to send them to college.

My view is why bring another body into an already over crowded, depleting world. I would much rather become a foster parent or adopt when the time comes. If I have a child of my own then fine, but that would be all. One biological child..if that. For right now I want to live and enjoy the single life and do not view myself and financially stable and mature enough to raise a kid. I have been looking into the different foster/ adoption laws in my state to start seriously considering and planning for adoption in the future. For right now I want to work on paying off my debts and building my finances up so when I do adopt/foster a kid I can bring them into a stable and loving home and not worry a lot about being in debt.

Me too...'tis what I dislike the most, parents who seem like they don't even LIKE their kids or can't be bothered to properly raise them (most recent example: little kids outside my window running a muck in the dark at 11:30 at night!  Um, the parents are obviously not concerned about pedophiles).

And yes it's true it's all how you raise them...but I wouldn't want my kids around other people's brats.  Bad influence!  lol
