I definitely prefer to cook at home.  It's a fun thing for the fam to do together, it's healthier and definitely cheaper!

Home cooked is always better, It's just the clean-up that gets to be a pain.

home cooked meal is ALWAYS better.  We eat out once in a while but I prefer to cook a good healthy dinner.  It is hard to get healthy when you go out to eat.  My husband and I have been married almost a year and for the entire time we dated (over a year) we ate out every night, so I have had my share of restaurant food.  It is still nice when you are on vacation or just need a break but over all it is much better to sit down to a nice home cooked meal.

Being poor kind of forces me to eat healthy, or at least cook at home. For $3 I can make a healthy tuna pasta dinner with leftovers for the day. That's not bad. I tend to spend a lot of money on buying cases of water bottles though. I'm considering getting a filter on my sink or some other filter for drinking water, and getting a reusable water bottle I can refill. I try to "go green" and be a healthier person for the most part. The only downfall to trying to pick out healthy foods in the grocery is that they're typically more expensive - fresh fruits and vegetables, whole wheat products, lean meat, etc.

home made foods are always healthy and we care so much about the health of our family.... take out foods are good to take once in a while.

For some people who are suffering from the economic downturn in the United States, they do not have the options of take out foods anymore.  Home cooked meals are more nutritious and many people who are in the downturn have learned that making a hot dish at home goes much further and you can eat the leftovers.  Take out should be a treat anyway!!!!

I totally agree, I use to eat out all the time. But now I normally just cook meals at home. Its fun but can get tiring at times.

thinking about the phase of life that people have in the state it is much likely that most of them chose to just either eat outside or have a carry out..but thinking of which is really much better or healthier would you have dinner prepared at home even if its just a quick one or just rather take out and go to sleep right ahead?

cant really argue w/ either 1
