Stirring Occasionally

So what would you consider stirring occasionally and what would you consider stirring frequently?

I stir my iced tea when I make it.

I mean like pasta and stuff silly.  Or soup.

I think you stir occasionally to keep it from sticking to the bottom or scorching on the bottom so if you're cooking for only a 15 min period, then stirring every 2 min or so would be occasionally.

i stir porridge

i usually go back to the stove every five to ten-ish
minutes to stir, depending on what i'm making...
pasta/dinner things i'm not as "stirful" as i am when
i'm baking or making something sugary/syrupy on the
stove. i keep a closer eye on that stuff.

well occassionally is like every 20 -30 min freq would prob be every 5 min

I ted to stir a lot! But, I also usually have someone in the kitchen with me that I'll talk to while stirring and adding stuff.
