I'm adding to the purpose of this thread at marie's request:

Re: Contest Five: Post-Mania
"I should use this as an example to why I believe in God in the Debate and Discuss forum when people pick on me."  (because she was winning a lot of the small contests)
...
"Oh Heavenly Father if you would just let me get the 20$ I would be so thankful."

Ahem, I won't purposefully rub it in by saying the results of said contest, but let's just say, her prayer didn't work.  ;)

I think it's jealousy though.

It's certainly not jealousy.  Think of it more as a taste of your own medicine...of which you fail to take sometimes.  *oh snap!*

In all honesty, I both loled AND thought this thread was a little mean.  So there I go semi-defending you again.

Yes everyone needs to quit being perverted. No mention of sex whatsoever.
Then why did you respond to this thread?

I say I have done pretty well for myself...God does answer my prayers but how would it look if he let me win it all, all the time. I prayed to win it all. I don't think God will do that.

I don't know why you bothered to post all those contest stats...all I was saying is that I found it very hilarious that you said multiple times in the contest yesterday that you were praying for god to help you and what do you know, your two favorite atheists took the top prizes higher than yours.  ;)  Surely you need to ask yourself why god would let me, a hell-bound sinner, win over a believer?

It's only recently that I've started participating in the forum contests despite being a member since January...I did go back and read all of them, though, and lo and behold, had I participated in the "closet to the date" one, I remember thinking I would have won because I would have picked my birthday, which is in October but before Halloween.  ;)

On another site I am active in, I have won almost $500 in contests over the course of just 7 months (those weren't all luck, though).  My husband and I have won $120 on slots in Venice, $350 on slots in England, $100 on slots in Kentucky, $50 on slots at bingo, $180 on slots in Tampa, $65 on horse racing...am I trying to brag?  NO.  I'm just trying to show that winning money has nothing to do with god or prayer!

And why should it?  If your god were real it would be a pretty selfish thing to be praying for when there are countless people far worse off than you are worldwide.

I've been celibate since I broke up with my ex-boyfriend in September. We still speak every now and then, but there's no finally decision made to get back together. I'm not sure that will ever happen again. He cheated on me. I no longer trust him, so that's that's....... If your not ready to be in a serious relationship and your tired of being hurt, celibacy is the best thing for you when your making decisions. It has to be someone you really care about, you have to take precautions, because of the many diseases that will take your life, particularly one. ??? ??? ??? ???

I also was doing it to try to see if my two favorite atheists would start with me while the admin was right there.

Sorry, the posts were going way too fast to be able to read most of them...I did go back later and read them, though, for shiggles...had I caught your god posts, I wouldn't have said anything because that would be just silly to respond to something like that.

Quote
God did help me, did you look at the people that won nothing! This is the devil with this logic and I pay no mind.

Well god is not very fair, is he?  He plays favorites?  Obviously not since I took your top prize just 2 seconds before you.  Oh wait, maybe it's because I'm the devil's favorite, HE helped me win...  Interesting fact, did you know that your Biblegod is directly responsible for the deaths of over 2 million people in the Bible, whereas the devil has only ever killed Job's family (10 people).  Even THAT was because god said he could!  So ask yourself who you should be worshiping...maybe it is really the devil who is the good guy and god the evil one.

In all seriousness, that is really selfish of you to say "look at the people who won nothing!"  It's just luck (albeit sometimes with some strategy) - get over it.  You were not personally blessed by god and I think it's pretty clear that the examples I have given thus far prove it.

Falconer is not an atheist btw.

It occurred to me to include agnostic, but that would have looked too wordy.  I don't know why, once again, you are presenting me with information that you think I don't already know.  He is my friend and I speak with him in great detail outside this forum.  He is atheist in all the ways that matter: he rejects Yahweh, Jesus, Allah, Vishnu, Zeus, Ra, Mithra, and every other B.S. attempt man has come up with for explaining things.

Quote
It would be obvious don't cha think if I took top prize every time.

Even if you did win all of top prizes that wouldn't have been "proof" for god.

To get you to do this to me, it is a test, because right now God is seeing what I will do when you confront me about all this.

And what did god think of the death threats you gave people awhile back?   :angel11:

Because I like to feed the trolls.

You'd better be careful then, lest you find yourself with a weight problem.  ;)
