Use of social sites

How much time does everyone spend using social sites? Is there a way to get involved if you have no known friends on them?

I would say I spend about one hour on all of them just checking messages and such. If you don't have any friend son them you could always invite new people by going on their forums if any or you can sometimes do a search by interest,age,gender and such. You can also invite people from your contact list on your email

I don't really spend much time on there just check me messages and im off its pretty easy to make new friends on most of the sites.

I never use them.  I think they are a waste of good time that I could be using for posting here and making money on the other sites.

The same here, except for one social community I am using but it's also a money making website.

I use facebook a few times a week.

About 30-40 minutes a day.. Trying to reduce it to 10 minutes a day..

Just a parenting site I like though, I normally check facebook frequently through out the day but not on it for long.

I'm fairly new at the Facebook site, I started last October. I resisted for a long time, thinking the same things you all are saying. I finally gave in and created a page. I have now reconnected with many people I thought I would never hear from again. And I thought I had no friends on Facebook but I now have 230 friends. UNBELIEVABLE. And I know all of them personally except 3 or 4 who are avid Packer fans like I am.

I'm on Facebook and as Jorhea said, I've reconnected to many people.  I also set up a Twitter page but I'm still trying to figure out what's it for.  That one I don't get.
