What is so good about FACEBOOK???

I have lived in a few states and have family in a few other states. Facebook makes it a little easier to keep up with all of them and let the loved ones check in on me.   But FB has changed somethings witch is making it a little less desirable these days

I enjoy facebook, mostly to keep in touch with friends and family that live further away. I will play some of the games on it, and will post pictures every once in a while but for the most part i'm not onit much

I like Facebook. I've connected with a lot of people I use to go to school with, made contacts in the business world and discovered new outlets for my writing. I don't spend as much time on it as my daughters do, and I don't do Farmville or Maffia Wars but I am having fun

I have never had an account with Facebook, but I don't see the appeal.  Too many people can find me at any point of the day and already know too much about my life! It's also very disturbing to see someone constantly updating their mood, what they ate, planning to wear for the day, etc. Does anyone really care about any of these things? Not to mention...too many people from your past can find you and even if you just lost touch, who really wants to reconnect with everyone you knew in high school? Just my opinion

I've been on facebook since the beginning. It was nothing like it is now. I liked it better then, but It's still ok now. Back when I started it was only for college students and you had to have a .edu email account. I liked that no one else could get on - especially little kids. When the original guys sold facebook it changed. Some good things are the market place (sort of like a craigslist time deal), people are finding old friends and family members, it's easy to keep in touch with people (some people would rather say hey in a post vs calling), and finally I like the IM setup (which wasn't there before).

I haven't met my nephew yet, but my brother has pictures of him on facebook! Sure he can send them by mail, email, or send them to my blackberry, but I'd rather go to his page to view 200 pictures than flip through my phone, actual pictures, or have him spend money sending them to me . Facebook is being used for tons of things these days - it's a new business owner's dream platform. A lot of my friends are starting their own businesses and getting the word out easier on facebook than on any other social site right now!

I will admit it, I'm somewhat addicted to facebook.  I play a lot of games on there late at night when I'm bored, and sick of reading (I still read a book every two or three days).  It also lets me keep in contact with my friends from high school because right now we're all sprinkled to the wind throughout the country and the world.  We talk every day and even if they're posting the mundane boring events of their life on a daily basis it keeps me tuned into what they're up to and what I'm up to.  I think facebook is much better than myspace.  I was an avid myspace user and vowed to never convert to facebook but when I was talking to my best friend from high school after I found her number she said she had a facebook account and wouldn't open a myspace account.

There's not much good about it.  I feel like a stalker on it.  Everyone's business just shows up on my news feed.  But still it's entertaining to see what everyone's up to.  It's a great way to contact and keep in touch with friends and family.  I was into the games for awhile but I lost interest quickly.  Becoming a fan of topics you like is fun because you can discuss things regarding that topic with people who are just as interested as you are.  It's just an entertaining site to go one when there's nothing better to do.

I can't believe this whole thread!!! Facebook is PEOPLE and that's what you need to get referrals. Don't just post links and banners, get to know people and talk to them, it would shock you how easy it is to get referrals there.
