« on: December 31, 2007, 09:13:24 pm »
I have referred people through get ref and varios other places and many of them have been sayin when the sign up they get some type of message..i dont if it is a error message they are speaking of or not but they all say it says something about using an ''open proxy'' What does that mean..that their referral will not credit my account and they have to try again? Thanks!.

i believe it means that they are trying to sign up / sign in useing aol, or netscape.... something with a proxy server and that  is a big NO NO. let them know.. if they use dail up to sign up and always sign in useing ie or firefox.. as they are not proxies. other wise they can not join.

I have contacted a few and they are AOL users that may be the problem. They also have said the 'error' stated if they were legitimate users they have nothing to worry about? I'm confused lol.. :P ??? You said it is a big NO NO if they sign up through an 'open proxy' but from my knowledge its ok as long as they are legit? Hmmm Not sure please share answeres...

it states in the TOS no proxies.... just tell them to open internet explore or firefox and sign up and do offers useing them. if they do not have them. they can download them for free from firefox.com or do a google for internet explore and download from one of those sites as i forget the main site for it.. but yes, have them read the full TOS. it states all of this in there. :) hope this helps

Personally, I recieved that message and all I had to do was reenter the 4 digit code and anything else I didn't have filled in and it was a done deal.
