Hi has anyone gone to the dentist for a clean and left with one of the front teeth shorter than the other,

some years ago I went to the dentist for a clean and he looked at my teeth and very quickly buzzed one of my front tooth shorter with out asking me. I left not happy at all looking at my self and thinking now I look funny One front tooth shorter than the other. Now just days ago my younger sister went to the same dentist and he did the same to her,

I wonder if that's one of his ways  so you remember to go back! ;D

Now my younger sister went to the dentist

I don't think I would of left there without making him/her fix the problem and ask why he thought it necessary to do that without consulting you first.  I don't think I would go back there or refer that business to anyone.

I agree, I could see making them even and with your consent, but to buzz one shorter then the other thats crazy

I knew a woman once who went to an all night denture dentist.  The factory operated 24/7 and you went in, had impressions and then waited for your dentures.  When I saw her afterwards she looked like a beaver because the two front teeth were so much longer then the rest.   ;D

I had something similar happen to me, although it wasn't part of a cleaning.  I went in to have my front teeth filed down (they never became smooth on their own after childhood - guess I should have eaten more steak :P), and the dentist chipped off a small part of one of my bottom teeth!!  I should have sued, lol.  Just kidding.  I guess now I can think of it as adding a little "personality"!  ;)

WOW what a dentist!! My youngest daughter has one shorter front tooth than the other but that is only because she had fallen and chipped her tooth so bad that there was a sharp edge. An edge that would slightly cut her lip or tounge while eating or talking. So they drilled it down. She doesnt seem to care to much as with her teeth they are all still babies.

You should have demanded that they fix it. Doesn't sound like this person should be in practice if he's doing this to peoples teeth.
