How can I make money with a blog?

You need a lot of traffic.  The easiest way is to probably put up some ads.  If you start getting a lot of traffic and your blog becomes popular you could probably sell your own ad space.

You can't really make money with a blog when you're starting out. It's just like dreamy said, so you'd have to have a popular blog.

Other than Google ADsense(which I personally wouldn't endorse);they don't give you many other options!

You will need a lot of traffic to make money through ads.  Google pays out per 1000 views or clicks, I believe.

You can promote the blog by linking to it any place you have the chance.  It helps raise the rating of the blog on Google searches.

The best advice I can give you is this....

The key to ANY long success with a website or blog is that you actually LOVE
what you are doing.

If you start a blog or a website, start it about something that you are actually interested in.
Make it about something you actually like.

Never start a website thinking only about the money. That is usually a fatal mistake.

Make your blog about something you LOVE and/or ENJOY and are knowledgeable about.

If you write quality stuff, the money will come later. GUARANTEED!

The problem with most blogger wannabies is that they want to get rich right away.

Trust me, build the interesting and unique content first, make sure you are actually
interested in what you are building. Keep adding new and unique content on a regular
basis, and of course, advertise it a little.

Then the traffic will increase, and increase and increase,
then you can start placing ads on your blog such as clickbank and Google adwords.

And also, the response to your post from the person named: "thetotalfool" is wrong.
Google does NOT pay out per thousand views or clicks, they pay out a percentage
OF EACH CLICK your visitors make.
