It's an idiotic law that allows racial profiling. Of course people are here illegally, because they make it hard as hell to become legal.

Illegal aliens are not supposed to be working here, yet they want them to pay taxes.
They want illegals to pay fines to be here...yet they make it illegal for them to work.

I don't get what they want...this law is just adding more stupid to the pile.  

And I know a lot of people just want them to up and leave but it's not even that easy. Some people were here since they were young children! A lot of them don't even have anywhere to go back to if they were sent back to wherever they're from. For a lot of people illegal aliens aren't illegal aliens...they're friends and loved ones.

There will always be a reason for a cop to pull anyone over if thats what the cop feels like doing.  Why they are wasting time and money on making it a law i dont know. What they need to do is make it even more difficult for the companies that are hiring illegals. Companies should be required to verify legal status and not hire anyone who doesn't meet the standard and if they don't and they are still hired that company should be fined an amount that would discourage them from doing so.  Also take away tax benefits for the company to discourage them from hiring illegals.

Anywhoodles, if we force them to learn English then wouldn't it be correct to say that we should help them learn it? I think people are just nit picking when it comes to this learn English thing. Trying to find anything and everything to complain about. How many times do you run into someone who can't speak English? And when you do how horrible is it? It doesn't ruin your whole day does it? If it does then your priorities may be a bit out of wack.

 I admit them learning it wouldn't totally hurt. I'm trying to learn Spanish and so far it's been pretty painless. Small thought though...if we force them to learn it...how will we check if they know it? And what if they have an accent and it's still hard to understand? Does that mean they're breaking the law? Do we send in police to have a conversation with everyone who immigrated here? People are just trying to find anything to complain about.

Do any of you realize that some of the people who come here illegally aren't even old enough to say "nuuuuu I don't want to go in here illegally!" Some children are brought here by their parents illegally, they grow up here, go to school, graduate. Then are stuck here. No place to go back to, no job to get here because they're deemed "illegal." It's not as cut and dry as you think it is. But people are so "they took my jobs" or "they're breaking the law cause the law calls them illegal" that they don't even take the time to get both sides of the story other then their own.

If the are LEGAL citizens then they would KNOW English. It is part of BECOMING a LEGAL citizen...
