I so agree with you!  I did some checking and found that US has been in recession for almost 15yrs.  It has just not really been brought up til now.  In my opinion I think everyone is just wanting to put the blame on the different person in the room (if you know what I mean.)  Everyone forgets who was in office when Obama took over and all the problems this country had when Mr. Bush was in office.  I have always said that people gave him too much credit.  The man couldn't even speak properly for pete's sake.  He screwed up almost every speach he ever gave.  Yes Obama said he was going to do a lot of things to help get this country back in order but he never said I will do it all in the first month I'm in office.  Give him time people!  Rome wasn't built in a day and neither was this country.  This country has a lot of fixing up for him him to do and everyone wants it done yesterday.  I'll put it this way for all the skeptics you CAN'T fix something with scotch tape and expect it to hold when the job requires super glue!

I think Obaba would have done a better job of running the country than the idiot Obama has. He is a moron and has done nothing to improve the country's status either economically or socially. From what I see he is a socialist, communist that feeds off power. He is in it for himself not the people. And if you want to blame Bush, go ahead, at least Bush got aid started for Katrina victims within four days of the disaster, Obama has done sweet damn all for the people and environment after the BP oil spill which is continuing. The only folks that I have talked to that think Obama is doing a good job are the losers sucking the country dry by living off welfare (the ones that think welfare is a way to make a living), young kids that have no clue whats going on except for what Lady Gaga is doing, and liberal idiots.

I'm not happy with Obama, but after hearing how McCain is talking now, I don't think he would have been much better a choice.  Our whole system needs to be reworked.  Welfare, Social Security, Healthcare, Immigration, Big Business, etc-it ALL needs to be changed!  What happened to us?  Way too much greed in this country.....

I voted for Obama. In fact, I even volunteered with the Obama campaign. 
Personally, I don't feel disappointed at all in the job he's doing. Obama isn't a magic pill to fix the country, and we shouldn't expect him to be.
My main reasons for supporting him were that I thought he was the much more likely candidate for repealing DADT, and reforming healthcare.
Now with the healthcare reform fiasco behind us, congress has started taking the first steps toward the repeal of DADT.

Anyone who has been following the progress on the Obamameter would know he has been honest in many of his campaign promises:

Compromise 34

Promise Broken 19

Stalled 82

There's no reason to call names here.  Obama HAS taken steps to improve our country economically and socially.  I do not understand what you mean when you say he has done nothing for our country socially, and then you turn around and call him a socialist?

Welfare has been around for decades before Obama has taken office, so I do not get the connection?  

People who are happy with Obama are not just on welfare, young kids who are fans of Lady Gaga and not "liberal iditots" (myself included)  I think that some of Obamas priorities are out of whack, but overall, he is doing a good job.

Where is this?  Who wrote up this "Obameter" or whatever-which side?  Are the actual "promises" itemized?  You know that 84% of statistics are just made up on the spot   LOL!  I'd like to see what they have to say anyway!
