I think the No phone idea is a good one - it is just too dangerous to operate a car and phone together.

I would like to say yes, but I don't want to lie.  I do not text while driving (I can barely do it while sitting still) but I do talk on the phone.

I STRONGLY AGREE!!! This about it what if someone hurt one of your kids while texting or talking on the phone.  would die if someone did that to my kids.

Like my momma always said: Do to others as you would like to be done on to you.

Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little.NEED Help? Check out my Beginners Guide pinned in the Support forum :)

Well I enjoy my cellphone, but my covenants, and enjoyment isn't worth my or someone else's death, so I agree with this movement because to many people have been hurt or killed because people are too distracted by there cellphones or texting to drive correctly and safely. so yes I agree that drivers should not be using there cellphone while driving. :peace:

I don't own a cell phone because of all the will it cause brain cancer or something like that
People who are driving need to focus on the road and the road only!  In fact, people shouldn't even be taking their cell phones with them when they are opening the door of their car, jumping in, and turning the key or pressing a button to start their vehicle. Whatever happened to land line home phones? Some may say yeah they exist but they are so old fashioned. Well? Home phones are still useful.

I don't use the text feature on my cell phone or talk on the cell phone while I'm driving.  The automobile was meant to drive, not to use as a phone booth or Western Union. It shouldn't take just a rocket scientist or a "celebrity" to understand that our FULL concentration should be on driving.

this is an easy thing for me to do because i do not drive :) but my husband always calls me when he gets off of work and i know that sometimes he starts driving before we hang up. i tell him not to and he says he won't do it anymore but i'm sure it happens about once a week. i'm just grateful that he doesnt text while driving because i believe that is way more dangerous. i also worry about my 22 year old sister and cousin who both taxt while they are driving all the time. my cousin has even been given tickets for it but she just doesn't stop.

I think Oprah's No Phone Zone Pledge is a great idea.  Talking or texting on cell phones while driving is dangerous.

Why people are trying to text while driving is really beyond reason.  It is really stupid to text while driving or even talking on the cell because people aren't paying attention to driving but the conversation.  Insane.
