It has been proven that gum doesn't take 7 years to make it's way through the digestive tract but it has no nutritional value so i spit it out.

You can't swallow your gum don't you know it will stick to your lungs and you'll suffocate gah! 

if your esophagus (attached to your mouth) leads to your lungs you have problems.

definately spit it out.  The thought of swallowing it kinda grosses me out.  I mean how long would it stay in your stomach before it is finally digested?  gross.

I was always told 7 years.... not sure if there is any scientific evidence of that though

I spit it out. I try to find a garbage can though. I just don't spit it out on the street.

I spit it out.  It is gross to swallow it.  We tell kids not to so why should we swallow it as adults.

lol my grandma always told me if i swallowed my gum it would stop me up but when i got old enough i swallowed it and nothing happened so today dependng on the where im at i do both
