I am a boy in mid school, and I get jealous a lot about some girls, but I wouldn't kill them or anyone that I am jealous of, cos that makes you guilty and why would they ever like/love you back if you're a killer? Why start a relationship with a criminal? So yes, I get jealous too, but I'm still in school, that could all change (not me killing someone :o, the being jealous part)

I am going to say, from my own experience, that men are much more insecure so are much more likely to be jealous. That might be because I have, for the most part, felt pretty secure about who I am and what I want out of life. Men take a lot longer to grow up and face reality. This does NOT apply to all men, so please don't think that. As I said, it's my point of view and also from watching friends with very jealous partners.

i think, in general, women tend to be mor ejealous than men because, in general, women tend to care more. now i have known some very jealous men, but for every jealous man i have known, i've known at least 2 equally jealous women. i on the other hand have never been the jealous type. when dating as a teenager i was really upfront with boyfriends that i was not the jealous type. if a girl hit on my man i didn't care because i knew he was with me and i would tell her that. now if the same chick tried something with him again then its time to handle it because now its not a jealousy thing but an outright display or disrespect to what i had already told her. :)

now when it was the other way around, my man was looking at another girl and he asked if that bothered me and i told him staright out he could look all he wanted, and he could even go for it and try to talk to her but that she had better be worth it because there are no second chances with me. now that doesn't come from a place of jealousy but from a part of me that feels that i deserve to be happy and with someone that wants to be with me so if he wants a shot with someone else he should go for it. but that got his eyes back on me and i never caught him checking out another girl the whole time we were together.

It depends. If a person is confident in him/herself, it's not a big issue.
