No. But grandchildren are just around the corner. Something to think about. I personally wouldn't want to start over when my kids are grown. As far as the age thing goes, plenty of people are having children into their 40s.

Personally I wouldn't want to start over at 40, but that's just me. But if you are healthy and it's what you and your husband want, then I say go for it.

I guess it would depend on your overall health.  I am 37 my baby will be 1 year old next month.  I have 3boys and I can still have babies.. I really wanted a girl since I am by far outnumber at home, even our dog is a male lol.. I don't think your old.. If my husband decides we should try again 39 is my number lol..

Not too old just have doctor visits often because as said, babies are more likely to have complications the older the mother is. It's not always the case though. My grandmother was 42 when she had my dad.

If mother nature grants you a baby at 39 then you're not too old.  When your body says you can't have any more naturally then you're probably too old.  My sister had her last baby at 45 and a cousin had three in her 40's.  They weren't trying and not on any kind of hormones or shots or any artificial methods.  Their bodies said they could have more so be it.

thanks for all your comments  yea  i have a child but hes gay so no grandbabies as i can forsee and i am obese and smoke so maybe being 40 and unhealthy is not a good idea .

No. But its kind of risky to try to have one and you might sooner or later have grandchildren. But if you really want to go for it.

No, I  don't and again its up to the individual.   I had my second child at 43 and w/o out any complications.  He was born naturally, very intelligent, very creative but he also can be a pain in the neck.  All in all, he is my son and he is a handful but that's my son!  He does keep me on my toes.  But, I'm not the only person who had a child in their 40's nor do I think I'll be the last.  Just saying!

No, just as long as you are in good health. The older you get, the more risky it is to be able to have a safe childbearing experience.

Check with your doctor if your serious about having another baby.  I'm a lot older than 40, but for me, I wouldn't have considered it at 40 because... well... our eggs are old!  It might mean going the non traditional route.  Your doctor can advise you of any risks you would be taking, not only with yourself, but the baby too.

More & More people are having children at that age. I think there are higher risk factors when You have children in that age bracket. So if you really want one go for it. just make sure you are mentally prepared. I have 3 & they are a handful. I love them though to pieces
