lip treatment
« on: April 21, 2010, 08:45:43 pm »
This question is addressed more to the ladies on this forum:

Lipstick, lip gloss, chapstick, nothing?

One of my friends brought this random question up at a discussion tonight, and I thought I would see
what people on the forum would say----obviously I think the answer would change depending on the circumstances
but I'm curious to see what comes about from this.....

Hi there,

Hate the feel of most lipsticks too much for me.

Lip gloss is sometimes ok if not too sticky

chapstick seems to make me more prone to getting chapped lips ( I know go figure) lol

I think I prefer nothing. But I do use lip gloss about twice a month and chapstick about once a month depending on the weather. I mostly use it when it's windy :)
Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little.NEED Help? Check out my Beginners Guide pinned in the Support forum :)

With Lipstick I use to wear, but not anymore I been stop using it a lonnnnnnnnnnng time ago. I hate lipstick!

I don't hardly wear chapstick, because I do not need it,

And for Lipgloss I Love to wear out of all three which is my favorite, because it shines, it keeps your lips soft, and it's not to much on your lips, like lipstick can do. Also lip gloss is just plain and simple... It beats lipstick!

not a lipstick fan...found that Burts Bees has a line that works as well as lipstick, great color and durability...for everyday, I use Carmex, even though it stinks lol...my lips get unhappy during allergy season

I am addicted to Chapstick, seriously, can't go anywhere without it! I have no idea what that says about me. I bought some of the Burts Bees and really liked it, but my lips actually broke out from it. Lip gloss is too sticky, lipstick is too drying, but I am a big fan of lip stains that also have the moisturizer on the other end. The stain lasts all day and doesn't get caught in the cracks like lipsticks sometimes can. A little off topic here, but a pet peeve is women who wear very dark lip liner with a light shade of lip color. It looks ridiculous to me. I hope that made sense and you females know what I am saying.

Chapstick! Nivea started making chapstick not too long ago and I switched to them and love it. However, I agree with whoever said it makes their lips chapped lol. You literally have to reapply every half hour to an hour or it all goes south. I've been drinking a ton more water lately to help remedy these chapped lips.

I'm not really a lipstick fan either - never liked the slimy feel - and now that I am older, I don't need anything sliding into the wrinkles.  I just use a little colored gel to give the lips a little color.  If it is dry, I like the burt's bees stuff as well.
