first batman movie (michael keaton)
« on: April 11, 2010, 08:00:03 pm »
well i purchased the first 4 batman movies today and i watched the first batman movie in a very long time..since i was real little and well.. i dont know about you..but i thought it was boring. i didnt think there was nothing exciting about it except for the joker and i heard that jack nicholsen had mental issues after playing the joker role. they say heath leager did the best joker but i disagree coz jack nicholsen did not twitch and lick his lips very frequently as did heath. sorry tim burton..the first batman movie sucked.

Hahaha how DARE you! The first batman movie defined the dark knight. Before then, (other than the comics) batman had always been seen as the campy-Adam West character from the 60's. This film molded up the bat as we see him today. You gotta give Burton credit for that. 2,3, and ESPECIALLY 4 sucked though. I even think Batman Begins wasn't too amazing as well. Dark Knight was fantastic imo.

...but no one...NO ONE...can diss The Animated Series. NO ONE!

I liked all of the movies and origonal series with Adam West........If you are ever in the Pasadena California area you can drive by one of his homes, it is awesome (5 stories high) Something to see for sure!

Oh I know. Looking back now, I agree partially. In its defense, it was the 80's though and not up-to-speed with what we have now. It is a little boring and some parts are slow. The boring parts though...I find those as the character-building stages of the film. That's why a lot of people agree Nicholson stole the show in that film because of the way Burton developed him up. This movie rocked when I was a little kid.
