It depends on the girl and if she is mature enough to handle the consequences I think. I personally waited until I was almost 17 and with a guy that I thought I loved at the time. But I was so scared to get pregnant that I didnt really think about sex until then. Even at 17 that would have put me being almost 18 if I had gotten pregnant

Heh, why are you believers all under the impression that atheists aren't allowed to use the word god? (or if I do, it means I somehow believe in him? oooh!)  When I say "thank god", of course I don't mean thank GOD, it's just "thank goodness" would make me sound like an old woman!!  I suppose I could say "thank something", but that sounds rather odd.  It all comes down to cliched habit...and I rather enjoy blaspheming a meaningless word like god as much as possible.  The word does not carry any weight to me.

I'm sorry if you've personally been screwed over in your life, but not all guys are pigs who are destined to cheat.  It's a matter of finding the good ones who are intelligent and also being a woman of similar character if you seek to not get cheated on.

I have wondered, for awhile now, where the cute little love chain with Wayne (or whatever his name was - threw up a little bit each time I saw it ) went as far as Marie's sig. Maybe he decided to 'get down' with someone a little more stable?

As for the statement that girls should do it when they are ready because they know? Yeah, right. That's why we have so many teens getting pregnant years before they can even consider getting a driver's license. I guess my body was worth a whole lot more to me than some dude's raging hormones. No, I definitely did not save myself for marriage either, but I wasn't a 'cat in heat' that laid it out for every guy who said he loved me after a couple dates.

Funny you should mention it, it did quite bother me how marie said, "Some girls get down like guys. They don't need a name or number - it's just fun."  My initial reaction was to post, Yeah - if she's a *bleep*.  But I decided against it.  :/

I certainly don't think it is "wrong" in any kind of god-morality sense if a female (or male) chooses to sleep with anything that walks, just like I don't think it's inherently wrong to be a prostitute or do drugs.  BUT...the people who choose to do these things need to realize there can be consequences for their actions.  Consequences like getting pregnant, contracting a STD, not maintaining any real relationship of substance with a mate...such consequences are why I, too, was not a "cat in heat" as a teen.  lol

I believe that a girl should take her time to prepare for sex. They should never rush into anything she's not ready for. If I had a choice years ago, I would have waited until i was twent-four when I had my son. I was only 16, big, huge mistake. Sad. Wrong guy. Because of all the sexual transmitted disease, I believe that everyone should play it safe. AID's is something that no one deserves to have, we have to be careful. And play it smart. Right now, I'm by myself, my main goal is to be her for my two children and instruct them to practice safe actions. I'll just put it that way. Education should be their main focus, having fun, not worryin about the peer pressure. If their friends do it ,they must follow. No. They must make their own choices, a real friend would never give the wrong advice to do something that will cause harm to another person. To all the teenagers. Please take your time, you don't want to grow up too fast. You have your whole life in front of you.

Not in my world, not in my life, and not even when I was in my 20's! You seem to be living the Jerry Springer way of life. Sleeping with as many guys as you want, whenever/wherever you want, and being almost 'proud' of it makes you nothing but trash as far as I am concerned. But start getting yourself some money out of it and you can proudly call yourself a 'professional working woman'. Hey, be all you can be, right?!
