Questions About Traveling and Using FusionCash.
« on: April 06, 2010, 12:35:32 am »
So, I am in the process of planning a trip for later this month (as long as the airline tickets do not skyrocket before I book it - I will be headed to Arizona and California!). I of course will be taking my laptop along with me on the trip to keep up with my emails, my website and all of that good stuff. My question is, while I am away can I not log in or use FusionCash? I will be staying with a friend (who does not use FC or anything similar) some and at hotels some for the time I will be gone. Does that mean I will have to hold off on everything FC related until I get back home? I know the daily emails stop if you do not click them after so long as well, so I'd hate to lose out on that as well.  Any suggestions or knowledge to share? It would be greatly appreciated.

That's a good question!  I have went out of town and logged in at my relatives homes (who do not do FC)
but I am not sure how hotel/motels would work??  I am curious to see the answer on this one myself....  :dontknow:
Thanks for asking this!

It's pretty simple lol U can't log in anywhere else or from a public computer. Check it out it was in the terms of service which we all have to agree to in order to create an account with FC. http://www.fusioncash.net/tos.php
Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little.NEED Help? Check out my Beginners Guide pinned in the Support forum :)

How does it work? This is the first time that I have decided to work online from Home and is a little confused but is eager to learn. Is anyone out there willing to give me the inside scope? ???  :icon_rr:

Well as stated it wouldn't be a public computer, it would be my laptop that I use everyday on FC. I understand it is in the terms of service, I have seen other posts in regards to using while they are away (as you can see right in this thread), it is not a large wi fi community such as a library or a coffee shop or internet cafe it would be used in the home I am staying at, which is a personal residence with its own internet service not a community internet service. No one in the home uses FC or anything similar to it. I can see the issue with using it at a hotel, since wifi there would be shared. However, I will only be in a hotel for two days of my stay versus the other 8 spent in a private residence.

I mean it may seem cut and dry in the TOS, but think about other circumstances such as individuals who live in various places for different parts of the year (think snowbirds who spend half their year in Florida or another warm spot and the other half wherever they live the rest of the year) does that mean they couldn't use it for the one half of the year?

If its based on who pays for the internet service, that would cut a lot of people out too considering many teens who are on FC may live at home with their parents and it would technically be their parents internet connection. Or someone who has roommates could have the internet in the other roommates name but them be the only one of fc.

I am fine with it either way, I am not complaining, I have read the TOS, I am just curious on how to go about things while I am traveling. I can set FC on the backburner while I am away and tend to it when I get back that is not an issue, I would prefer of course be able to use it while away.

I am glad to see others are curious about this issue as well. :)

I am curious to see the answer to this. If I ever get to travel for more than a couple days in the future, it will be good to know what I can and can't do.

As long as you are going on an internet connection that no one uses FusionCash (or will ever use FusionCash) then you will be OK

Public access points, such as hotels are not recommended.

Why would you EVER want to logon from a relatives house and lose the chance to get a new referral? Get a free copy of TeamViewer and you can use your laptop or your relatives computer to logon from HOME no matter where you are as long as you have an Internet connection. I just leave my home computer running and logon to it with TeamViewer and then control it remotely to logon to Fusioncash.
