In my opinion, I believe the world will not end on December 21st, 2012.  I have done some research on the subject, but not much to say I am any sort of expert.

This sort of event reminds me of Y2K.

I believe in God, and only He knows the end of days, but all things point to the fact that we are getting very close to it.. but not until some things come to pass in the city of Jerusalem

the bible sase that not one know when He will come to end the world .but I think it will not be long that is why we should get are templ work done for us and for are family so we can have all are love one then.

No I don't, but 2012 does have something to do with the Maya Calendar. Is the Ancient Maya Calendar going to expire?

They said the same thing about Y2K, but hey, its 2010, and we're still here. I don't think it'll happen, and its two years away anyway, so who cares?

12/12/12 there is not telling for sure if the world as we know it will end but some of us may not be around for that day let alone any other day!

No I don't think it will end. Only God knows when the world will end so to say it's 2012, I don't think it would be so predictable.

Everytime I think about it I get a little scared.  Mostly for my young girls.  I want them to be able to LIVE.  I do have faith in God so I just have to no think about it too much.  All I know is that I'm taking that day off work and going to be with my parents, hubby, and children.  If that is the last day of Earth then I want to spend it hugging them.

The mayan calander "states" it is the end of an age. Upon further research, this is not the last "age" they have described earlier.

People have been predicting "the end of times" since day one. Humans are programmed to fear the unknown. So, it's only logical that for something as abstract and ultimately unknown as time would scare the crap out of every single one of us, sometimes into believing crazy ideas like the world is going to suddenly end.

Even if 99% of the human race is evaporated into thin air, 68,081,645 would still be alive (as of  07:00 UTC (EST+5) Mar 13, 2010), and would continue to live on. Put that into perspective. We're not going anywhere.

It's not the end of the world, it's just the end of a calender. My calender ends at the ends of this year, doesn't mean the world is going to end. Just means I need to get a new calender.
