Any mothers choose to have a c-section vs a natural birth?
« on: March 07, 2010, 01:07:18 pm »
I wanted to have a natural birth but I had complications (or so the Dr informed me) so I ended having c-section with all three of my kids.  How do we really know if we are able to have natural birth of if Dr.s are pushing patients to have c-sections to get the pay out from the insurance companies?  Do we really have a choice anymore? :-

well, my sister in law had my niece naturally. though, my cousin had to have her son by c-section coz he wouldnt come out. he also had problems with his kidneys. my niece will be a yr old on the 24th. and my cousin just turned 2 in january. my cousin had a horrible time with her cut though. it didnt heal correctly when they did it so they had to cut her open again so it'll heal right. it eventually healed but she was leaking fluid like bad. had to change her bandage and gause alot during the day. she wants another kid but my cousin is a handful right now so she doesnt think she could have enough energy for another.

I had a c section 26 years ago.  I am very small and was not able to deliver .... I was scared at first but when it was over I thought if I ever had another that would be the way to go.  It turns out he was my only child but I had no problems at all and he came out a perfect 10.!

If and when I have a child I am going to try my hardest to have a natural birth. I think doctors just prescribe medicine to get there pay out even when there is absolutely nothing wrong with the person.

C-section is usually the last choice but it worked for small mothers or the ones over certain age. My friend who was 42 having the first baby got the C-section. It turned out the perfect result with baby and her
