Its almost like I'm watching you play "Magic, The Gathering" as I read your posts!!!!! example: "OMG, if you interpret the beast the wrong way in Revelations, I can do 5 damage to you and take you out of the game!!!!"

I laughed at this. Like...really laughed. Too funny.

REALITY!!!!!!! :thumbsup:It works!!!!

I think the problem in saying this is you're talking to people that think these myths are a reality. And they're so focused on proving it to you that they sound crazy. Our reality is the actual physical reality. When we show them it, they think we're delusional because we don't accept their reality. But we have the advantage of being skeptical. We can sniff out problems and know how things work here. We can tell fact from fiction. Our feet are on the ground. Theres aren't.

You also use the fairy tale line because you don't want to acknowledge that it's real nor do you want to find out how the previous prophecies and the ones to come are real.

I'm sorry to inform you but they aren't real. You can argue with your little black book all you want to tell us the peppered 'facts', but they are myths by definition.

I am confused because you say you believe in God but then you say it is a bunch of crap (basically) so what in the world do you believe? Just that there is a God?

I'd explain but I'm not sure you'd understand. So I'll take the cheap way out and wiki it here for quick reference-
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agnosticism
I don't recall saying that believing in god is crap. I believe defining or personalizing it with ridiculous claims (such as the anti-christ being Obama to such things as parting a sea) is a bunch of crap. That is all I ever attack when in an argument on the subject. I would suggest if you have any further questions, relay them to the other massive thread you posted your sexy-ascii graphic on.

I think people make fun of the bible becuase they themselves feel like they can't meet the standards so there like why try i'm just going to make fun of it cause it's easy, fun and i'm going to lose his approval anyway. How sad, anyway as for the bible's endtimes prophecy you have to look at the statistical evidence and compare it. It's clear the numbers of deaths from each event have been much higher then those in the past.

@StephaBon: There's a problem with your reasoning about the beast in revelation, there's 2 beasts in revelation and one dragon. Look for the description of the wild beast and Babylon the great in revelation chapter 17 and then tell me what you think ok. Everyone else read it to please, after reading it you won't think i'm crazy !!!!!!
NO! I make fun of the Bible because its hilarious to see people with that "Flock Mentality" of religion react to any given situation ocurring in this world similar to what they have read in the bible, and  they just can't wait to point it ou! TOGETHER !!! Its almost like a religious "crutch" of safety, a biblical "OH YEA??? Well... it says here in revelations, blah blah blah blah BLAH!!"

You know what, I'd  might as well tell my child that little red riding hood was a real story, and that we should model our lives after that book!!!!

And its freaking funny as hell!!!!  People love quoting prophicies and bible verses as an explaination for everything wrong or right in this world... Waste of time!!!!!

Its almost like I'm watching you play "Magic, The Gathering" as I read your posts!!!!! example:

"OMG, if you interpret the beast the wrong way in Revelations, I can do 5 damage to you and take you out of the game!!!!"

..... and I play magic too!!!!!!

Just look at what you got right in front of you, a living breathing planet that's just here all for you!!!! Nothing will save you from the end.......Even if it makes you feel good to read it........... and that is why I make fun of the bible!
(evil laugh here)

REALITY!!!!!!! :thumbsup:It works!!!!

I can't really read you, however I think your saying this because inside you seen and witnessed great religious hypocrisy. You also use the fairy tale line because you don't want to acknowledge that it's real nor do you want to find out how the previous prophecies and the ones to come are real. I'm guessing you also don't want to have any form of a study even if it's free to time indefinite. As for the dragon reference it makes perfect sense to illustrate Satan as the Dragon in Revelation , all the nations worshiped a horned creature Egypt,Assyria etc. As for mythical creatures in the bible they're not literal if that's what your taking, it's symbolic. As for God's time "seemly" taking to long to come, it hasn't even been a week in God's time as one day to God is 1,000 years 2 peter chapter 3 verse 8 *stupid cool emoticon code* !!!!! According to bible chronology 2026 will be the seventh day. For most people this would seem a little out there but when you actually study the whole bible it's not really out there. I know some of you want to actually learn you wouldn't invest so much time ridiculing it if you didn't.
I rise way above the standards of the Bible, I am not binded by any religious beliefs or writings,  because it is a "fictional guide to doomsday".  The fact that you brought back up the stupid "Dragon" reference in revelations, you were'nt paying attention to what I posted, you were paying attention to yourself and your own SuperDuper Knowledge of the Bible that you are so proud to share with the world!!!!

Religious stories aren't off limits to make fun of, that's part of what makes us human MAN!! Furthermore, don't school me about freakin' scripture...

1st of all,(and unfortunately) I grew up in a Black Baptist church background, religion was rammed down my throat everyday by my dad, which carries alot of bearing on why I do not care to learn or believe in this bull. Learning something new in your life should be a fun experience, NOT traumatizing.  Besides the fact that there were 98% hypocrits in the church, the very same ones who rattled off scripture everywhere they went, because they just liked the sound of their own voices really didn't give a damn about you at all!!  Case in point??? My father was a deacon in the church we attended, and there was a woman in the Wed night bible study class that found him attractive and attempted to start something with him....He almost took her up on the offer. Now this, coming from the biggest HOLY ROLLER in my family???? Ladies and Gentlemen, MY FATHER- WTF!!!!!

How exactly do you process that one!! The Bible does'nt have an answer for me or anyone, I don't care how much you believe- Reading about it and seeing it happen right in front of you are 2 different things!  That chick brought a lot of heartache to my family, and nearly broke up my parents. I am adopted, so you see how that would have sucked for me.  I was and still am fed up. Don't come in my face everyday telling me to read the bible and live my life without sin when your'e swimmin' in it!! Don't forget to mention all kinds of money  that we gave to the church which coencidentally funded the Pastor's brand  new "Gold tiled shower" in his office! W-T-F?????? I don't want to fund a shower for him, He can do that at home or at a gym, like a normal person-OR with his own money!!!!!

 Another example, you say? Sure!!!

The last church that I ever went to with my parents, right before I graduated high school was the type that sported flags and instruments and had alot of dancing around(Me and my mom got a great chuckle out of it). They also spoke in "tongues" there which was also useless!  Righ before the service was over, a lady stood up to "testify" which should have been fine to do in any church as far as I was concerned at the time. The Pastor of the church told everyone to sit down and be quiet, and when we did, she was the only one left standing, continuing to try and adress the church.  The Pastor pointed his finger at her, as if she had stolen something, and said  "STOP!!!" and She froze. She was pretty far back behind us, so he basically yelled across the audience, and singled her out. All of the music stopped at that time, everyone sat down, only the pastor and this lady remained standing. It was as if she were in shock. Of course, we thought the Pastor was going to allow her to tell her story, but he ignored her , and began speaking in "tongues". For 1hr and 30 minutes, she stood there, the sermon continued, the dancing and flag bearing continued, offering went by, the choir sang at least 3 songs, and she did not move one muscle.  He did not adress her once that entire time, he closed his sermon, and people began to leave. But still, this lady remained standing there, softly sobbing to herself. My mother and I watched her the whole time, and could not understand why she stood there, until the deacons came to take her out.  She told them to leave her alone, and they forced her to gather her things and walk out. Outside, she told us," what he did was wrong, a man of god doesn't do that to no one". "I just wanted to tell my story, and that ain't right!!" She, of course was sobbing at the same time, my mom offered her a ciggarett and some comfort, and she accepted it.
The pastor never acknowledged her during that entire time and left her to stand there like a fool!!!! Very strange behavior in a place of worship. Why would you have bouncers carying out an old lady for wanting to testify????? She didn't disrupt anything and she wasn't a mean person, she just wanted to share, and they thwarted it.

I gotta tell ya, that was pretty much it for me, no one should have control over someone like this, if you are supposed to be open and accepting in a house of worship, that is not it!!
I wrote a paper on this incident and all of the other bull that happened for my final assignment in my English Literature class in High School. I got a B-, but it was well earned, in my opinion

Secondly, I just have to ask, are you a licenced professional Psychologist? You seem to have an answer for everything that I write, like you just know everything, I sure hope you won't charge me extra for this post, it ran kind of long....................HA HA HA!!!!!

With all the things in the Bible coming to pass, the one thing I am most interested in is the Anti-Christ. I have heard from many people that they believe Obama is the Anti-Christ. Now, I know that almost every president has been said to be the Anti-Christ by some people. Other beliefs say he paves the way for the Anti-Christ. I'm curious to see what others believe.
The Obama - Anti-Christ conspiracy, was apparently started or promoted/propagandized by a extremely right-wing American church/group. It is just a political smear and the way Christians insult President Obama and still look like good Christians.

If you are Christian, just remember where your citizenship is (Phillipians 3:20), and that there are many anti-christs (1 John 2:18-19), and then you might realize that these kinds of questions are irrelevant. People need God, and your president, no matter how Texan or black he is, is not who you should be following; he is not and cannot save the world, unlike the one you should be following.

Kinda kills the thread, doesn't it? I hope...

Definition: Antichrist means against or instead of Christ. The term applies to all who deny what the Bible says about Jesus Christ, all who oppose his Kingdom, and all who mistreat his followers. It also includes individuals, organizations, and nations that falsely claim to represent Christ or that improperly ascribe to themselves the role of Messiah.

So you would have to be a true follower of Jesus
know what his Kingdom is and what it will accomplish
and who the true God is to regonize the antichrist as a whole

Wow, I just spent a lot of (possibly wasted) time I wll never get back reading through this entire thread. I am amazed after reading so many fanciful quotes from 'The Great Book' - NOT "Green Eggs and Ham", the other one ;D that there still exists the capability of knowing how to cash in on FC or even go to a bank without divine guidance! It makes me sad, and also terrifies me, to realize that the mentality still exists (in otherwise intelligent people) of turning the written word into the everyday truth of life as we all know it.

Put down some scientifically proven theories for the great number of deaths as a result of natural disasters and changing weather. Cite some valid reasons for huge economic downfalls and the current state of this country and others. Bone up on a little history of previous
'Messiahs' such as Reverend Jim Jones, David Koresh, Pol Pot, Adolf Hitler, the list goes on......

Take a close look at any of those and much more that are classified as witnessed by other humans and very, very real and I will listen and think about all aspects of it. But start the citings of biblical rhetoric and I am outta here in a New York minute. What I say has absolutely nothing to do with not wanting to be a kind, giving, and loving person to the best of my abilities. It is simply pointing out just how ridiculous so many beliefs start out as a theoretical possibility in the minds of scholars and before you know it, an entire population is jumping off the cliffs like a bunch of lemmings because yet another another end of the world looms on the horizon. We will NEVER know or fully understand the reasons behind all that happens in nature and on this planet, but giving credence to an Anti-Christ (or an entire group of the greedy little fellas as has been stated) is beyond my comprehension. I am soooo thankful it is!
You are entitled to your own opinion, but you are not entitled to your own facts.

Unless you're ignorant enough to fall for creationist sources, this isn't gonna happen.

Anti-Christ is hanging out with Cinderella and Snow White in Fairy Tale Land.

Well that's disappointing...  I mean, what kind of Anti-Christ hangs out with princesses?  He should be hanging out with Darth Vader or Ann Coulter...
