You do realize that you just contraindicted yourself, right? Why would you quote the bible and all of its passages all over this forum and then cancel yourself out by saying that? I think youneed to take a good look at what you were taught to believe in, and what you precieve as the truth.

The English language is wonderful! Words can make you all fuzzy and warm inside, and even give you inspiration and hope, but words don't replace reality, they only make it interesting. You can post quotes from the bible that are beautiful and lyrical, but if it ain't you, then what weight does it carry? How sad, anyway as for the bible's endtimes prophecy you have to look at the statistical evidence and compare it. It's clear the numbers of deaths from each event have been much higher then those in the past.

Look for the description of the wild beast and Babylon the great in revelation chapter 17 and then tell me what you think ok. We make 'fun of the bible' because it's a bunch of stories full of pseudoscience and atrocious behavior from a jealous god trying to make his point. And people just go bonkers and use it as a weapon towards anyone who does not agree with them. How sad. We're not worried about living up to standards we don't associate ourselves with and that the church-goers can't live up to either.

Is this because of the reasons I stated much earlier in this thread or is it because you read it from one of your religious books? Could you post some (non-creationist) scientific sources of this information? Granted there's some random variables here such as more people living on our planet, building structures holding more people, poverty...but just glancing at a search it says death-rates from disasters have decreased over 90% since the early 1900's.

I make fun of the Bible because its hilarious to see people with that "Flock Mentality" of religion react to any given situation ocurring in this world similar to what they have read in the bible, and  they just can't wait to point it ou! TOGETHER !!! Its almost like a religious "crutch" of safety, a biblical "OH YEA??? Well... it says here in revelations, blah blah blah blah BLAH!!"

You know what, I'd  might as well tell my child that little red riding hood was a real story, and that we should model our lives after that book!!!!

And its freaking funny as hell!!!!  People love quoting prophicies and bible verses as an explaination for everything wrong or right in this world... Waste of time!!!!!

I can't really read you, however I think your saying this because inside you seen and witnessed great religious hypocrisy. You also use the fairy tale line because you don't want to acknowledge that it's real nor do you want to find out how the previous prophecies and the ones to come are real. I'm guessing you also don't want to have any form of a study even if it's free to time indefinite. As for the dragon reference it makes perfect sense to illustrate Satan as the Dragon in Revelation , all the nations worshiped a horned creature Egypt,Assyria etc. As for mythical creatures in the bible they're not literal if that's what your taking, it's symbolic. As for God's time "seemly" taking to long to come, it hasn't even been a week in God's time as one day to God is 1,000 years 2 peter chapter 3 verse 8 *stupid cool emoticon code* !!!!! According to bible chronology 2026 will be the seventh day. For most people this would seem a little out there but when you actually study the whole bible it's not really out there. I know some of you want to actually learn you wouldn't invest so much time ridiculing it if you didn't.
