Favorite Quote From Song/Movie/Literature
« on: March 02, 2010, 11:53:23 pm »
I have several favorites but my all time favorite is from the movie "Blow." Johnny Depp's character says,
"Life passes most people by while they're busy making grand plans for it."
I love this quote because it reminds me to live life in the moment, and know that time is precious.
What are some of your favorite quotes?

Mine is not as deep as yours but it's funny. It is: "Little Latin boy in drag, why are you crying?"

In the past several months with Obama in office and the American population feeling the stresses and strains of "change", entitlement and the overpowering sense of "you owe me", I have been reciting over and over the quote from JFK..."Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country".  If only we all took this to heart with regards to our own personal health care and reform, finances and help of others, this country would be an incredible place to live.

"you call yourself a free spirit, a "wild thing," and you're terrified somebody's gonna stick you in a cage. well baby, you're already in that cage. you built it yourself. and it's not bounded in the west by tulip, texas, or in the east by somali-land. it's wherever you go. because no matter where you run, you just end up running into yourself."
