being very price savy most of you r discount stores are better to buy in bulk at! examples: fred's discount store, sav-a-lot, dollar general!!! I am in the south where these stores are very prominant! I used to live down the road from cal turner jr. ( the guy who owns dollar general)

dollar tree -- its by far my favorite dollar store.
they have more unique things than most of the
other ones do.

sometimes i'll pick up a few things at big lots too.
i just found some silverwear drawer organizers
(plastic, but cute!) for $1. they also have hooks,
screws, and other odd &end tools for cheap.

[ we all have a place in history. mine is in the clouds. ]

a lot of times you don't have to even buy in bulk...just get a copy of weekly sales ads from local stores for items that are on sale. Many times the sale price is better than the bulk price, or very close so spending a ton of money all at once isn't really isn't worth it.

Dollar Tree or Walmart. I love the big roll of paper towel at $ tree, the paper plates and 400 count pack of napkins are great, too.

I agree about shopping at the Dollar Stores. You can save alot on food and other household goods when you shop at those stores. I shop at those stores now more than I ever did before. Some people have this misconception that Dollar Stores sell stale foods and what nots, but that's not true at all. There foods are just as fresh as the foods that can be found in the high priced grocery stores. I love the Dollar Stores.

I was going to comment on how I wish there was a Dollar Tree near me so that I could go in and see what's there. But then I remembered that there is one close by it's just so surrounded by a 99 Cent Only Store and a Big Lots. I think I'll go in and check it out today.

that's awesome, SherylsShado, I do the same thing!!  I don't live in a place where there is a really close dollar store, so I try to hit that when I have the opportunity, but locally I'd have to say Walmart...because that's what there is, even if it is a tiny one.  sometimes I hit it right in the grocery stores with the coupon/sale lineup, and I do attempt to wait for those opportunities.  I wish the area would entertain the idea of a dollar store.

I agree. I shop there all the time. A lot of people do think that way. Such a shame too. A lot of people are missing out.
