Holidays

So...one of the interesting discussions I've had with people in the past is regarding the current Holidays we have in our country... in my opinion, a lot of them make sense, a lot of them are just kind of silly (ie. excuses to get time off of work) ... do people have any thoughts regarding which ones we should "get rid of" and which ones we could add? I know, for example, 9/11 and 12/7 are big ones people sometimes want to add, and "Columbus Day" is one people sometimes want to be removed ... but I'm curious to hear what others thoughts are...
