Yes. JW's are known for acting as more of a school where you study the bible rather than just going to a traditional church lecture or whatnot. They also have okay methods of decyphering why things are sinful and why some things are not. It's both a great strength and an awful void in their reasoning. But you hit the nail on some of their practices-- JW's have an awful concept they practice where they disfellowship people from their congregation if they've been baptized and then sin. I had a few real life experiences with people that this happened to if anyone cares to here.

Teflon, anything I say about JW's is about the organization in general-- not you. You seem like a smart guy. I just grew up seeing a lot of awful things come out of it.

Well, first of all the person shouldn't have decided to be baptized if she wanted to do that.

Disfellowshipping REQUIRED:

1 corinthians 5:11(NWT) reads 11  But now I am writing YOU to quit mixing in company with anyone called a brother that is a fornicator or a greedy person or an idolater or a reviler or a drunkard or an extortioner, not even eating with such a man.

Titus 3:10,11(NWT) reads 10  As for a man that promotes a sect, reject him after a first and a second admonition; 11  knowing that such a man has been turned out of the way and is sinning, he being self-condemned.

Choosing to study another faith fully is like choosing to cheat on your spouse in god's eyes. In the hebrew-aramaic scriptures time and time again you see god's people getting involved with gentiles religions.  

Here's a scripture where God disowned the israelites for being with other gods, then God raised up judges(or clergy or elders etc) and they still didn't listen. PLEASE READ THE WHOLE THING

The only good that religion does; is bring people together,
other than that it's all lies, and I don't want to make anyone upset,
but it is just a Fairy Tale; religion was invented a long time ago as a
way of explaining the unknown; I.E. where this world comes from, where

So they spend their life making sure they don't disobey god,
or else they'll go to hell for all of eternity and suffer, that's just another way of comforting
a person in this life, because we all have to suffer so much and we're all victims, so the way people
deal with it is to say, you're a good man or woman, and if your good, then when you die you'll go to heaven, now
currently we have the ability to make this world a completely new place, with no suffering, because of

I'd like to say some more, since matter cannot be created or destroyed
there is no death; there is no reincarnation; except in the sense that when you die your body dies, and with all that being said we haven't even been born, except physically, I mean we are all made out of the same materials, that this whole earth is made out of, so none of us have ever left this planet after we died, we are everything, I hope you can understand this, for if you do you will finally realize that we are all family, instead of strangers, people
from the beginning of their birth have been told what to do, what to say, how to dress, how to act, what's the greatest country on earth, I pledge allegiance to the flag.

America is not the most important country, all countries are, we are not better, all humans have the same needs, food water shelter sex relationships friendships, family relationships, we all have the same needs, and religion even though I said what I liked about it was, that it brought people together, also really truly keeps us from developing a relevant education on what's important in life, we don't need to be religious, agnostic, atheist, man, woman, african, caucasian, chinese, japanese, spanish, german, russian, italian, we are human beings and we all have the same needs, that's what's most important; that truly matters, we can have a life without work, without poverty, crime, wars, murders, rapes, molestation, without all the bad things we have to deal with.

It's just hard for people to see this because, (and I don't want to sound crazy here) but, if from birth you've been told how to be as a person, and your parents do this to help you, but they themselves have been told how to be as a person to, and their parents and so on, then at the center of this has been and still is the media, I've stopped watching tv now for 4 years; these 4 years have been the best of my life so far, because I have a higher IQ, I can concentrate more focus more, learn faster, think faster, I can read really hard books that I thought I could never read at all, so I've realized that it's the media that keeps us zombie like; all forms of media do this.

There is something you can get from the media, you can learn some (well very few things) and even with the computer being a form of media, it can make you zombie like to, but also there is so much relevant information you can learn form the internet at the same time, believe it or not I do have more to say; but can't think of anything else at the moment; Oh yeah, And also if it weren't for Jacque Fresco of The Venus Project, I would probably be dead by now, because listening to him, and thinking about what he says, just makes too much sense, although it does make you feel uncomfortable at first, but most people get uncomfortable when their identity gets questioned.

Because they have been taught to believe certain things in life, that's why people get uncomfortable at first, I mean really; life in the past (I don't know how many years) has become one big Movie, that's how much damage the media has done to us.

Actually the line of witnesses started with abel ^_^.  It is true though that the international bible students didn't get started until 1870 which is the modern-day precursor of the JW's.  Please read I put some time into this post  :-

hebrews 11:4, 5(NWT) reads 4  By faith Abel offered God a sacrifice of greater worth than Cain, through which [faith] he had witness borne to him that he was righteous, God bearing witness respecting his gifts; and through it he, although he died, yet speaks.

As for determining which faith is worthy of God your right you have to decide that for yourself. Although I believe my faith is the true one you must find that out for yourself. I believe my faith is the true one because mine is unified all over the world, also my denomination is free and the bible morals are strict and of course their not in secular affairs like most religions.  Although the bible doesn't give a definite answer as to which religion is right the bible gives some clues as to which ones are wrong.

Clue#1:  Antichrist

1 John 2:22(NWT) 22  Who is the liar if it is not the one that denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one that denies the Father and the Son.

Clue#2: A part of the world

James 4:4(NWT) 4  Adulteresses, do YOU not know that the friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever, therefore, wants to be a friend of the world is constituting himself an enemy of God.

2 corinthians 4:4(KJ) reads 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Harlot in god's eyes means false religion, especially in revelation which is a book of signs. Who is in charge of the wild beast? Is the wild beast satan?

Revelation 13:1-3 reads 1  And it stood still upon the sand of the sea.

And I saw a wild beast ascending out of the sea, with ten horns and seven heads, and upon its horns ten diadems, but upon its heads blasphemous names. 2 Now the wild beast that I saw was like a leopard, but its feet were as those of a bear, and its mouth was as a lion’s mouth. And the dragon gave to [the beast] its power and its throne and great authority.

3 And I saw one of its heads as though slaughtered to death, but its death-stroke got healed, and all the earth followed the wild beast with admiration.

So there you go satan is in charge of the wild beast or political system(read daniel).
