Working At Home
« on: January 27, 2010, 10:16:48 pm »
Any good legitimate ideas for working out of my home?  I would really like to stay at home with my baby that will be here in April...but we need an extra income.  I have been searching the web frantically but I am uncomfortable with a lot of the sites I come to.  Any suggestions...It doesn't have to be on the computer either I guess any imput would help a lot!! thank you!! :binkybaby:

You don't say how much income you need, but my target is $1,000 a month to travel on and I have reached it several times now just with online programs like Fusioncash and then investing it online. I have a couple of blogs to promote my plan so I get referrals and I do videos on YouTube to enhance them. Then I just visit a few online Forums and Social Networks to get my name out there and the rest takes care of itself. My 'Work' takes me less than an hour a day, then I go out and play.

What exactly do you mean by investing online??

Congratulation for the coming baby, There is Fusion cash and some other good gpt sites that can get you some good extra cash and with referrals it will increase this extra cash. I am a staying at home mom for 2 kids one 3 and half years and the other is 5 months only and I am doing this I don't have too much referrals but I do good. I am sorry I can't write you these gpt sites names because it will be a violation but you can email me . wish you the best read the crediting tips before doing the offers to get most of it approved.

I agree with what OldBuddy was saying... Try to find some reputable GPT sites, like Fusion Cash, and then try to promote them with blogs and / or your own web-sites. If you get a good site going, you can also supplement your earnings from referrals by advertising on your own site. Find an on-line company that you like and see if they have an affiliate program (look at the small links on the bottom of the web-pages; you can usually see something like "Affiliates", "Promote", "Advertisers", etc.). Some will give you a small amount of money each time someone clicks on the link to their site reguardless of what the person does once they get to their site. Others will give you a certain percentage of any profits made by purchases from the customer.

If  you like to talk to people and you're not intimidated by cold-calling,you can go to Brighten Communications. It is work from home telemarketing-you will be making calls from a list for Brighten clients. You will need high-speed internet, unlimited local and long-distance calling,a printer and fax. They pay $10.00 an hour for your first twenty hours and then after probationary (the 20 hrs.) you will be paid $12.00 an hour. I worked there for a short time and I did get a pay check-I just was no good at cold-calling! You might have better luck than I did.  Good Luck-I hope this helps.

P.S.- You won't be calling people's homes- it's business to business

Exactly that, I buy shares in an investment company and wait for them to grow. The one I use is high risk, so that's why I use free money, but it pays me every day. I can't give links here, but I'm not hard to find.

If I were you I'd check out places that do customer service from home.  Check out companies like Westathome.com.  Yes you can make money doing GPT sites and advertising for referrals and blogging but it takes a lot of time to get to a level where you're not just making pennies a day.  You can't rely too much on referrals as most are not active and you'll need thousands of active referrals to make any significant amount of money.

I started a blog not to long ago about this very thing. I'm going through alot of the work from home opportunities. Call it a science experiment if you will. I'm using the money I make on sites like fusion cash to fund my adventure. I do some freelance writing on helium.com. You don't have to have a background in jouralism or publishing. You don't have a quota to meet. Write your first couple of articles and get ranked in the top quarter percentile and from there o you earn each time you post. Next on my list to check out is entering data for online auctions.

There are a lot of places where you can post your resume and search for at home jobs.  If you want to private message me I can give you some places that are legit and your an actual employee not a contracted one.  But there are a lot of contracted ones too if you can be diligent in paying your taxes.

I've been on line trying with a variety of affiliate programs, blogs, forums paid to click sites...anything out there requires dedication, but it's fun. I haven't made alot of money yet, but I'm not giving up. Search carefully and read the fine print, there are a lot of scams out there. Decide early how much you want to invest in both time and money, and stay away from programs that require monthly fees-for me, that defeats the purpose of making money.
Good luck and congrats on your new addition :)

This is neat!  I have just come in the Forum today and there is a lot of information here!

Congratulations on wanting to make extra money at home.  I KNOW there has to be a way to do that but to me it seems like an impossible search!  I do surveys, PTCs, all kinds of penny stuff but I have not found that ONE thing that would make me money like I believe is possible.
I hope we will find something one day that fulfills all our jopes and dreams!
God Bless!
