Why do all these surveys need my address?

All of these 40-50 cent offers that say 'Register' send me to a site where I put my email in, then a form comes up and it tells me to fill out my shipping information. I may just be paranoid but am I supposed to do that with every offer? I dunno if I want a bunch of companies having my shipping info, I'm 15 and I'd rather not have my parents yelling at me =/ so are these legitimate? it's okay to fill out all my info on all of these offers...?

I would check with your parents to see how they feel about it.  Maybe you may need to wait until you are a bit older.  It can be harmless, but you have to be very careful about what you are doing.

I agree with the above advice, but I will say that I do not get alot of mail from these sites and if I do and am not interested it doesn't hurt anything.  Plus I get surveys with money in them sometimes.  The only negative thing I have gotten is a scam with a huge check in it saying they will pay me to mystery shop.  Lots of people here say they have gotten them too.  Just throw it away.  No harm done as long as you don't fall for it and I find it hard to believe that people do.  Who would send me a $4,000 check to complete a mystery shop when they don't even know me.  People often just don't think.

I would check first but I have never actually received anything other than the occasional stupid add in my email, never got anything in the mail

Aside from a slew of auto insurance quotes, I've received little to no actual mail. I have maybe 2 pieces of junk mail each time I check. Which is roughly the same as before I started using GPT sites.
